How to operate TC-38A 1. Installation 1 Support connection: Referring to the cover page of this INSTRUCTION MANUAL, fasten two small wrench bolts in backside by 6mm-wrench and fasten three large bolts by 17mm-spanner. (FIG.1) 2 Body connection: Fasten four large wrench bolts by 17mm-wrench. (FIG.2) (FIG.1) Support connection Caution : Please regard the direction of dotted circle before fastening. 3 Couple the connection jack of foot switch at the underside of the control box. (FIG.2) Body connection 2. Cutting 1 Unscrew the bolt in scale-guide and fit the tape size to be cut at the upper knife blade and fasten the bolt. (FIG.3) (FIG.3) Fitting tape size 2 Insert tubular material in the work plate, after cutting it by 130cm or so. By hands, set the induction-angle controllers for material to be fed from left to right naturally. (FIG.4) (FIG.4) Controlling induction-angle - 1 -

3 After confirming voltage(110v or 220V), plug in electric power and set the switch in left-down side of control box at AUTO and turn on POWER SW in left-up side. Then material will be fed from left to right slowly. 4 When the first part of material is close to knives, change the switch in left-down side from AUTO to MANU, and operate it slowly, with pressing foot switch. 5 Holding the first part of cut material by hand, hang it to the tape winding roller & bobbin as (FIG.5) Control Box (FIG.5) Hanging cut tape to bobbin 6 By adjusting bundle of the 1st moving guide as(fig.6), prevent inclining into one side. And change again the switch from MENU to AUTO to be cut automatically. (If it works normally, increase the speed by turning SPEED VOLUME towards clockwise slowly.) 7 You can see the general drawing in (FIG.7) (FIG.6) Adjusting 1st moving guide (FIG.7) General drawing 8 When the bobbin is full, pull out the slide ring by hand as (FIG.8), and change full bobbin to empty one. Caution : When you change bobbin, you must do it in MENU without fail to cut remained material. (If you change bobbin in AUTO, knife works by itself.) (FIG.8) Taking out full bobbin - 2 -

3. Exchange of knife 1 If knife does not work well, firstly fasten the clamp bolt of upper knife 1~2 turns towards clockwise by 4mm wrench as (FIG.13) and test cutting. (Pressure-control spring in upper knife towards clockwise or anti-clockwise. If it is over-fastened or over-released, knife does not work due to unbalanced pressure.) 2 If above step is of no use, change knives. As (FIG.9), unscrew the safety cover bolt of upper knife and take out lower knife first, upper knife second as (FIG.10). (FIG.9) Releasing safety cover bolt of upper knife (FIG.10) Taking out lower knife 3 Vice versa, exchange knives as (FIG. 11~12) (FIG.11) Taking out upper knife (FIG.12) Mounting lower knife Caution : Upper knife nut of model TC-38 is reverse screw type, but one of model TC-38A is normal screw type. - 3 -

4 After changing new knives, reduce the pressure by turning the clamp bolt of upper knife towards anti-clockwise as (FIG.13), and push it towards arrow direction as(fig.14) and fasten it towards clockwise for both knives to be turned toothed slowly. (FIG.13) Adjusting the pressure of upper knife (FIG.14) Toothing upper & lower knife Flat blade : to cut cotton-material. Saw blade : to cut spandex or slippery material. If you set upper knife in flat blade and lower knife in saw blade, it makes noise less and cutting better. But if material is very slippery, set all knives in saw blades. 4. Control function 1 Limit Bolt (Auto-Stop Control Bolt) - Controlling the volume of wound tape. - If you set it towards upside, tape will be wound more. If you set it towards downside, tape will be wound less. - To cut remained material in AUTO-STOP, change the switch from AUTO to MENU and operate it by pressing foot switch. 2 Speed Lever of Tape Winding Roller - By adjusting the speed lever up & down, you can cut from normal material to high elastic material. - If material is high elastic, adjust the speed lever towards HIGH. If it is normal material, adjust the speed lever towards LOW. - 4 -

3 Fuse Box - If fuse is melted out due to overload, open the fuse box in dotted circle and exchange it to new one. 4 Oil Tank - Automatic lubrication into lower knife makes the life of knife longer - Even though there is no oil, no problem to use. But if you want use knife more longer, lubricate silicon oil.(other oil may pollute materials.) 5. Special feature 1 There is no need to change tape winding roller by character of materials. By adjusting the speed lever, it can cut all kind of materials easily regardless of elasticity. 2 The machine is longer and narrower than before. (It is convenient to cut wide material, or long & narrow material.) 3 Because feeding bar is manufactured as slipping type, it stops automatically in case of jamming, preventing motor from overload and protects worker's safety. 4 Noise is decreased more than before. 5 The volume of wound rape can be adjusted automatically by Limit switch. 6 It is chose the latest design & colour in accordance with worldwide trend. 6. 7. Caution for use - Do not aim nozzle to fingers, hands or body with filling harmful cleaning liquids. - Ventilation is required when shooting indoors. - If cleaning liquid runs out in the bottle, stop working. - If the nozzle happens to be clogged, use other cleaning gun or air compressor to perforate. Do not use needle or wire absolutely. - Please contact following address for further information. 8. Emergency Measures 1 Power lamp doesn't work. - Check connection jack (part #108) - Check fuse. 2 Power lamp lights but the machine doesn't work. - If stop lamp in control box is on, make it off, by pulling back bobbin frame (part #76) and putting it back. 3 Tape is cut wider than set-size at the end of cutting. - Adjust the speed lever (part #7) towards HIGH a little. (Elastic : HIGH) 4 Tape is cut narrower than set-size at the end of cutting. - Adjust the speed lever (part #7) towards LOW a little. (Normal : LOW) 5 Wound tapes in bobbin collapse during operation. - Adjust the speed lever (part #7) towards HIGH a little slowly. 6 A slight electric shock in the machine. - Make the ground connection.
