What an exciting year for District 7030!! ABC Islands join District 7030 on January 1 st, 2017 The culmination of a process that began several years ago is now upon us. It is very rare for a District to adopt 3 new countries and 4 New Clubs but that s exactly the event District 7030 is so ecstatic about as of 1 st January 2017. All 2164 Rotarians of District 7030 heartily welcomes the 205 Rotarians from the Clubs of Aruba, Bonaire, Curacao and Willemstad together with your Rotaractors and Interactors. We eagerly look forward to the further celebration of this landmark and to your participation in our upcoming District Conference in April, which will make this, our 25 th Anniversary Conference event more special. You can expect all our camaraderie, fellowship and support as we happily welcome you all and look forward to all the positive change you are sure to bring into our District. Sincerely, Roger A. Bose District Governor 2016-17 Did you know we have a National Champion in our Zone? The United States Golfing Fellowship of Rotarians (USGFR) held its 27 th annual National Championships in Albuquerque, NM on September 24th- 28th. About 50 Rotarian golfers from across the U.S.A. and Canada participated, including Zone 33-34 golfers from Districts 6960, 6980, 7690, 7610, and 7750. Incoming USGFR President PDG Patrick Eakes (D7690), shot -1 over the closing seven holes to win the National Gross Championship. DG Jon Spillman (D7690) finished 5th. The National Championships offer a great week of fellowship and food, and lifetime friendships are made each year. Non-golfing Rotary partners have a wide array of tours to choose from while golfers are on the course. Please mark your calendars now for the 2017 National Championships in beautiful Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, September 11-15, 2017. Also, please watch for more information about the 2018 National Championships, which will be held in Blacksburg, VA. PDG Ned Lester (D7570) is leading the planning for that tournament, and it will be a great opportunity to join your Rotarian friends within Zone 33/34.
