Velkommen to Copenhagen, Denmark Copenhagen, or as Danes call it: København is the capital and most populous city of Denmark with almost 1.300.000 inhabitants. With a number of bridges connecting the various districts, the cityscape is characterized by waterfronts, parks and promenades. Copenhagen's landmarks such as Tivoli Gardens, The Little Mermaid statue, the Amalienborg and Christiansborg Palaces, Rosenborg Castle Gardens, Frederik's Church, and many museums and restaurants are significant tourist attractions. Copenhagen is one of the most bicycle-friendly cities in the world. The Copenhagen Metro launched in 2002 serves central Copenhagen while the Copenhagen S-train network serves and connects central Copenhagen to its suburbs. Serving roughly two million passengers a month, Copenhagen Airport, Kastrup, is the busiest airport in the Nordic countries. The Danish green transition has been under way for decades and is widely integrated as an essential factor for business and product development, public opinion, lifestyle and politics. It is trendy and good business to think sustainably! We look forward to welcoming you in Copenhagen and sharing our state of green.
