BOVILL SQUARE Located at the corner of Broadway Avenue and Main Street. Bovill Square was opened in August 2013. It is a public space owned/maintained by the Town of Smithers. It is meant to provide the local community a location for small and medium sized arts/music/cultural performances and special events. There is no rental fee to use the park/stage.
BULKLEY DRIVE PARK Located on Bulkley Drive (Playground area appropriate for ages 2-8)
CHANDLER PARK FIELD Located at the corner of Vancouver Street and Third Avenue. Please remember - motor vehicles are not allowed on any of the Town owned sport fields or trails (ie. Snowmobiles, ATV's and dirt bikes).
DOGWOOD PARK Located at the end of Dan Hamhuis Way, off of Toronto Street. Playground area appropriate for ages 5-12
ELKS PARK Located at the corner of Railway Avenue and Pacific Street. 5 softball fields, all ages Bike Park Please remember - motor vehicles are not allowed on any of the Town owned sport fields or trails (ie. Snowmobiles, ATV's and dirt bikes).
GOAT PARK Located at the corner of Highway 16 and Main Street.
KINSMEN ADVENTURE PLAYGROUND aka HERITAGE PARK Corner of Highway 16 and Manitoba Street. All ages playground area. All ages skate park, 1 softball field, 1 rugby field. Please remember - motor vehicles are not allowed on any of the Town owned sport fields or trails (ie. Snowmobiles, ATV's and dirt bikes).
RANGER PARK Located at 3736 16th Avenue - Old Forestry Building. Disc Golf course, walking trails, preschool aged playground, green space.
RIVERSIDE MUNICIPAL RV PARK & CAMPGROUND 3843 19th Avenue, Smithers, BC, V0J 2N0 250.847.1600 (weekdays) RV & camping sites within easy walk of downtown Smithers. Situated on the banks of the beautiful Bulkley River surrounded by a picturesque view of the Hudson Bay Mountains.
SMITHERS FAIRGROUNDS Located at 2701 Pacific Street, corner of Tatlow Road and Pacific Street. The Town of Smithers owns a fantastic parcel of land, which is utilized by many groups from Smithers, the surrounding communities of the Bulkley Valley and from around the province. The Fall Fair Management Committee meets three times per year and oversees the booking requests and capital upgrades requests for the Town owned property. License agreements with the Bulkley Valley Agricultural & Industrial Association, the Northern Saddle Club, and Lease agreement with the Bulkley Valley Bowmen (Archery Grounds) provide the opportunity for local groups to offer workshops, rodeos, training sessions, children's activities, and more. The Smithers Fairgrounds are home to the Bulkley Valley Exhibition (Fall Fair), the Bulkley Valley Folk Music Festival (Midsummer Festival), the 3 in 1 Breed Show, and the Annual Archery Shoot. All of these events gather together thousands of participants and spectators from all over British Columbia and Western Canada.
VETERAN S PEACE PARK Located behind the Smithers Public Library, corner of Aldous Street and Railway Avenue
TURNER WAY PLAYGROUND Located on Turner Way in Willowvale Subdivision. Youth/adult basketball pad. All ages playground equipment. The Turner Way Playground was officially opened on September 30, 2012. The project was constructed by the Town of Smithers, BV Weedbusters Bobcat, and LB Paving Co. Ltd. The cost of the playground was covered by funds from the Municipal Five-year Capital Budget, the BV Kinsmen and Smithers Lumber (TIMBRkids Program), Wetzin'kwa Community Forest grant, and LB Paving Co. Ltd.
YORKE-HARDY PARK Located at the corner of Princess Street and 12th Avenue. Playground for ages 5-12
