Appendix 2 Shipping Charges Regulations 2000 Part A Adjustments to hourly charge for services specified in Schedule 1 Year 1: $144 including GST per hour Year 2: $166 including GST per hour Year 3: $184 including GST per hour Year 4: $201 including GST per hour Year 5: $218 including GST per hour Year 6 (and thereafter): $235 including GST per hour Costs incurred for travel, contractors and specialist services: Where an activity occurs on site (is not office-based) anywhere in New Zealand, there will be a 33 percent loading per hour. The loading will apply only to those hours spent actually carrying out, for example, an on-site audit or inspection and the hours spent in the office relating to that same on-site audit or inspection. Where an activity occurs outside New Zealand, the actual and reasonable cost of travel and all associated costs will continue to be met by the operator. The regulated hourly rate for services specified in Schedule 1 will apply, irrespective of whether the chargeable activity is undertaken by an employee or a contractor. Where Maritime New Zealand requires specialist services in connection with an application in respect of which a fee or charge is payable, it may recover the reasonable costs of such services from the applicant.
