2 GENERAL MANAGER MESSAGE First, thank you to the new and renewing members who participated in the June Membership drive. As always, our Meet and Greet tickets were very popular. We re also pleased with the results from the on-line auction for the autographed Joe Bonamassa guitar. We ll have additional on-line auctions in the future. We realize some viewers are disappointed when we interrupt our regular programs, but our bill for programs is almost $900,000 a year. On air Membership drives are very effective in raising funds to make sure the programming you love is on WyomingPBS. Next, a very important notice for viewers of Doc Martin and A Place to Call Home. Our rights to air the first six seasons of Doc Martin end in July. Since Doc Martin is pre-empted on July 12 for our Republican Primary Debate, we will air the last two episodes of season six back to back on July 26, with no break in between. A Place to Call Home will start at 10pm that night. Then, the doctor and family will take a well-deserved vacation until this Fall, when they return for Season 7 followed by the ALL NEW season 8 in January. Our coverage of the Wyoming Governor s race continues in July, with a live debate among the Republican candidates on July 13, repeating on July 15. We ll be extending an invitation to the Democratic candidates for a debate in early August. Plans are underway to offer debates for the Governor s and both Congressional races this fall. We also have a new Main Street, Wyoming in July. What s in a Name travels to Story, Dubois and Greybull. Finally, I m proud to announce that former WyomingPBS General Manager Ruby Calvert has been unanimously confirmed by the Senate for a seat on the Board of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting. CPB was created and funded by the Federal Government as is the steward of federal funding for public media. I m pleased Ruby will continue to champion our missions of education and civic leadership in her new capacity on the CPB Board. Terry Dugas General Manager Station Happenings Summer in Wyoming is a busy time for our engineering department. The small window of good weather allows our engineers the opportunity to perform much-needed maintenance and repairs to our 30+ transmitters and translators across the state. The engineering team is also busy working with our colleagues at Channel 14 to transition that station to WyomingPBS later this summer. WYOMINGPBS STAFF Terry Dugas General Manager Lonny Fairfield Chief Technology Officer Kyle Nicholoff Production Manager Jennifer Amend Director of Marketing and Outreach/Program Guide Editor WYOMINGPBS FOUNDATION STAFF Joanna Kail Executive Director Cole Acuna Administrative Assistant Kathy Stilson Membership Coordinator The WyomingPBS program guide is published monthly by WyomingPBS, 2660 Peck Ave., Riverton, WY 82501 and mailed to those who contribute $50 ($25 senior rate) or more annually to WyomingPBS. Under IRS guidelines, the estimated value of this program guide is not substantial, therefore, if this is the only thank you gift received by the contributor, the full amount of the gift is tax deductible. Donations which are eligible for other thank you gifts are tax deductible, less the reasonable cost of the gift. WyomingPBS is licensed to Central Wyoming College, and complies with all state and federal laws. As part of those regulations, the station must not share our member lists with any political parties or candidates; we do however occasionally share member names and addresses with other partner non-profits.
