Overnight stay. DAY 2 CITY TOUR After breakfast at around 9 am your city tour begins. You will visit the historical center to see sights like the Zócalo (the Place of the Constitution) one of the world s largest city squares, the Cathedral Metropolitana, the National Palace and the National Museum of Anthropology. In the afternoon you will drive to Xochimilco, the Place where Flowers Grow, to enjoy a boat trip through the famous canals (price not included). Afterwards return to your hotel and overnight stay. DAY 3 TEOTIHUACÁN After breakfast you will visit the ancient city of Teotihuacán, located about 60 km north of Mexico City. This complex of pyramids was once Mesoamerica s greatest city. The original name remains a mystery, but the Aztecs named it the City of Gods when they found it as they could not believe that humans have built suchgrand structures. Climbing the pyramids you will have an incredible view over the whole territory. On your way back to Mexico City you will stop at the Basílica of Guadalupe to see illustrations of the patron of Mexico, la Virgen de Guadalupe, also known as the Virgin Mary. Afterwards return to your hotel and overnight stay. DAY 4 MEXICO CITY At the appropriate time your guide will take you to the airport for your return flight or you can continue your tour with one of our extension programmes. End of services. 5

DAY 3 MEXICO CITY - CUERNAVACA - TAXCO After breakfast and check out at your hotel you will drive to Cuernavaca to have a tour of the historical centre and to see the magnificent cathedral. Afterwards you will continue to Taxco where you will visit the Church of Santa Prisca and a silver workshop. You will also get some free time for shopping before checking in in your hotel in Taxco. DAY 4 TAXCO - ACAPULCO After breakfast and check out at your hotel you will continue to Acapulco, where you have free time to enjoy the beautiful beach. Overnight stay. DAY 2 MEXICO CITY QUERÉTARO SAN MIGUEL DE ALLENDE You will leave Mexico City in the morning and go to Querétaro. You will have a guided city tour of Querétaro where you will see the important colonial sites that make this city a world heritage site. The city is known for the Aqueduct ( Los Arcos ) that runs right through it. In the afternoon you will continue to San Miguel de Allende, a historic city of great civil and religious architecture from the colonial period. Overnight stay. DAY 3 SAN MIGUEL DE ALLENDE - DOLORES HIDALGO - GUANAJUATO After breakfast and some free time to explore the city and walk through the streets and alleys you will continue to Guanajuato, an old mining town that is located beautifully in the mountains. On your way you will visit the town Dolores Hidalgo where the Mexican independence movement began. In Guanajuato, you can visit the Museum of Don Quixote which is unique in the world, different churches and a mine. Besides that, the old building of the university is worth a visit and the cemetry of mummies. Overnight stay. DAY 4 GUANAJUATO ZACATECAS After breakfast we will depart to Zacatecas, a beautiful mining city with a stunning cathedral and a wonderful city center. We will have a panoramic view over the city from the Cerro de la Bufa, we will desccend in a cable car and visit the mine of Eden. Optionally we recommend to visit the Museums Rafael and Pedro Coronel and Francisco Goitia. Overnight stay. DAY 5 ZACATECAS GUADALAJARA Breakfast. Afterwards we will go to Guadalajara, the cradle of Mariachi and Tequila, emblems of Mexico in the whole world. Visit the neighbourhood of Tlaquepaque which is famous for producing the finest handcrafts in the state. Here you will also find the galery of the famous sculptor Sergio Bustamante. 11

You can have lunch in one of the tipical Mexican restaurants with a group of Mariachi acompanying your meal with music. If time allows it, you will make a visit to the Ranch of Vicente Fernández, a famous Mexican singer. Overnight stay. DAY 6 GUADALAJARA TEQUILA GUADALAJARA Breakfast. In the morning you will have a guided tour of the city where you will see sights like the Theatre Degollado, the Cathedral, the Palace of Government with some splendid murals from the artist Orozco, the Plaza Tapatía and others. Later on we will go to the village of Tequila, home to the most important destilleries of the liquor Tequila in the world. We will go through the huge fields of agaves, the plant from which Tequila is made. Finally we will go to one of the destilleries to learn about the process of producing this beverage. Return to Guadalajara and overnight stay. DAY 7 GUADALAJARA PÁTZCUARO MORELIA Breakfast. Today you will get to know the town of Pátzcuaro, which means the door to heaven in the indigenous language of the region. The town is known for its colonial beauty combined with the beautiful location of being situated right on the coast of Lake Pátzcuaro. The historical center, the miraculous Basilica of Our Lady of Health, the House of the 11 Patios and the Island of Janitzio are worth a visit. In the city center you find a lot of cafés and restaurants with Mexican and international cuisine. We will continue to Morelia in the state of Michoacán, yet another colonial city. Overnight stay. DAY 8 MORELIA MEXICO CITY After breakfast you will see this beautiful city, an UNESCO World Heritage Site. You will have a guided walking tour and see the colonial buildings made out of pink quarry stones: the Cathedral, the Government s Palace, the main square and the aqueduct. Afterwards your guide will take you back to Mexico City, where you can have dinner. Overnight stay. DAY 9 MEXICO CITY Breakfast.
