During the 2018 European Championships, spectators will have the chance to watch Europe s best cyclists weave their way through the streets of as part of the Road Race events, which will start and finish at Green. Road Race Events 5 August 12:30 Women s Road Race* 8 August 08:45 Women s Time Trial** 12:45 Men s Time Trial** 12 August 10:30 Men s Road Race* *Road Races start and finish in Green **Time Trials start at the Riverside Museum and finish in Green Enjoy 11 days of free fun and entertainment at GO LIVE! at the Green, including: World-class circus performers at the Big Top Outdoor gym and sports zones Watch the Championship action live on the large screens Live cooking demonstrations at The Kitchen Garden Bodyworks exhibitions from Science Centre Jaw-dropping cycling shows from The Clan Scotland s Cycle Stunt Team Street theatre acts and pop up opera shows Capital FM will host the stage and provide daily prize giveaways Daily programme details will be available from glasgow2018. com/go-live. Local Attractions There are a number of local sights and attractions in Green, including the People s Palace and Winter Gardens, and the refurbished Doulton Fountain. Before You Leave Home Be prepared To enter the venue, you will pass through security screening, which will include a bag search and pat down. Items such as bags in excess of 25 litres, commercial photography equipment, noise-making instruments, glass containers, bulk food, balls, inflatable items and alcoholic beverages are not allowed in any of our venues. There will also be some restrictions on items such as flags and poles, which can t be over 1mx2m, and large umbrellas. A full list of prohibited and restricted items is available at glasgow2018.com/ glasgowgreen Make sure you check the full list before you arrive on venue. Avoid bags For faster access to all venues, don t bring bags. If it is essential, bags should be no more than 25 litres in size and limited to one per person. Bags will be searched upon entry. Remember, there are no cloakrooms or storage facilities available on venue. Venue Services Information point Located near the entrance of the venue, from the west entrance. A further information point is located beside the Nelson Monument. Support available includes: Event and venue information Travel information Lost and found items Welfare point for lost and found persons Distribution of young visitor wristbands Young visitor wristbands We will be handing out young visitor wristbands for your little ones to wear in case they wander off during the excitement of the day! For more information ask a member of staff or visit the information point. Lost and found items All found items can be collected from the information point during operating hours at Green. Following completion of activities, any unclaimed items will be transferred to Police Scotland. You can contact Police Scotland on 101 for further information. Food and drink Payment at food and drink kiosks can be made by cash and card. Limited alcoholic beverages are available for purchase. Alcohol will be sold and must be consumed inside authorised areas only You must be 18 years of age or older, with valid ID, to purchase, handle or consume alcoholic beverages Check kiosks for last orders and closing times 5

Merchandise Take home your own piece of the Championships! Official 2018 merchandise is available from our outlets inside Green. Check out our George Square megastore in. It operates from 18 June 17 August. First aid Located adjacent to the Nelson Monument. Mobile first aiders are available. Ask a member of staff for support. Water refill Located beside the Nelson Monument and the main food and drink area. Baby changing Located inside accessible toilets throughout Green. Toilets Located throughout Green. ATMs Located beside the Nelson Monument, subject to a small charge. Argyle Street in city centre has an abundance of ATM facilities. Accessible services An accessible viewing area is available during Road Race event days (5, 8 and 12 August) subject to availability. Accessible toilets are located throughout Green. A Mobiloo, with hoist and changing table, is available. Please bring your own sling if you wish to use the hoist. Located beside the Nelson Monument. Further information available at mobiloo.org.uk An autism aware quiet zone is located as you enter the venue from the east entrance. This space offers somewhere quiet and enclosed, where you can be supported by specially trained volunteers from Autism Network Scotland and Autism Resource Centre. To experience a positive journey we encourage you to follow the advice as shown. Train Central and Queen Street stations are served by local and national train services. These, as well as Argyle Street, High Street and Bridgeton train stations are within walking distance of Green. Walking route Up to a 20 minute walk to Green from all train and Subway stations mentioned. See map for details. Subway St Enoch and Buchanan Street stations are well served by the Subway from s west end and south side. Road closures During Road Race event days (5, 8 and 12 August) there will be significant road closures in and around. Accessible parking Limited parking will be available to blue badge permit holders on Templeton Street - subject to availability. Bus Many buses stop close to Green.
