An excellent start to the tour is our stay in the colourful capital Dublin. Founded by Vikings in the ninth century, the city, with a long and interesting history is just waiting to be discovered. Leaving Dublin we take in much of the countries natural beauty with visits to the Cliffs of Moher, The Ring of Kerry, its stunning west-coast seascapes & soaring mountains and to Blarney Castle for an opportunity to kiss the famous Stone. You ll also spend time in the vibrant and colourful Galway City on Irelands western coast and in its second city, Cork, located in the south. We visit Waterford, which boasts a history of over 1000 years and is rightly world famous for its immaculately crafted crystal. Whether this is your first visit to the Emerald Isle or you re returning once again, this easy paced, relaxed tour will create lasting memories to be cherished forever.
22 Days Day One Sunday 9 th June The tour meets at a campsite on the outskirts of Dublin where this evening the Tour Directors host a welcome reception at their motorhome. Day Two Monday 10 th June We travel by coach to the Guinness Storehouse, where we explore the making and history of this famous stout. Our tour finishes at the Guinness Gravity Bar, the highest in town, with panoramic views stretching across Dublin. After a sample of the black stuff make use of your included Hop-on, Hop-off bus pass to freely explore the city for the remainder of the day. Day Three Tuesday 11 th June An opportunity to return to the City using your Hop-on, Hop-off bus pass. This evening we are taken by coach to a traditional Irish Pub where we can enjoy dinner accompanied by Irish Music and a Dance Show, a taste of real Irish entertainment. Day Four Wednesday 12 th June Leisurely drive into the rural heart of Ireland for an overnight stay on the tranquil shores of Lough Ree. 77 miles Day Five Thursday 13 th June We complete our journey to the wild West Coast, arriving at our campsite in County Galway. 63 miles Day Six Friday 14 th June A free day with lots of possibilities; you have the choice of taking the local bus from outside the campsite into the historic and picturesque Galway City, you can take a pleasant walk direct from the campsite along the strand into the city, or simply stay close to home and relax around the campsite. Day Seven Saturday 15 th June Time to relax on the shores of the coastal park; take a dip in the nearby seawater lido or further explore the shops, pubs and sites of the fantastic city. Day Eight Sunday 16 th June A short drive along the coastal Wild Atlantic Way or through the Burren National Park to our next campsite in County Clare. 50 miles Day Nine Monday 17 th June We have an exciting day in store, firstly we are collected by coach and taken to the Visitor Centre at the top of the Cliffs of Moher. Our guide will later escort us back downhill to Doolin, an alternative minibus is also available for those less abled. Lunch is included, in the afternoon, we board a boat to view the famous cliffs from sea level. Day Ten Tuesday 18 th June A free day and opportunity to take it easy whilst watching the gigantic Atlantic rollers come crashing in, or take a gentle stroll into the local village, reputed to be the heart of Irish traditional music, and enjoy the hospitality of this wonderful land. Another possibility is to visit the rugged Arran Islands by boat from the harbour near the campsite.
Day Eleven Wednesday 19 th June Our next destination takes us away from the Atlantic Coast, staying in the wooded grounds of the 774 acre De Vere Estate in County Kerry. On the way we stop at Bunratty Castle & Folk Park where you can learn what life was like in the not too distant past and take lunch (payable locally) in one of Ireland s most famous pubs Durty Nelly s. 62 miles Day Twelve Thursday 20 th June We arrive today at our award-winning park close to Killarney town centre, renowned as the Gateway to the National Park and Lakes. Our campsite enjoys the hospitality of the neighbouring Hotel which we can spend some time in. 60 miles Day Thirteen Friday 21 st June For today we have arranged a delightfully Irish gentle day trip, firstly using traditional jaunting carts we pass through the Gap of Dunloe to later be returned by boat across the Killarney Lakes, a wonderful experience to be remembered. Day Fourteen Saturday 22 nd June Leisure day to relax on site or make a visit to Muckross House and Gardens. For the more energetic, there is also the picturesque walk along the Fossa Way and into the National Park. Day Fifteen Sunday 23 rd June The world-famous Ring of Kerry is our excursion for today, an incredibly scenic route around the Iveragh Peninsula. Ample photo opportunities and lunch is included. Day Sixteen Monday 24 th June County Cork will be our destination today, stopping off on route at Blarney to visit its famous Castle, home of the Blarney Stone. 52 miles Day Seventeen Tuesday 25 th June Following a short coach ride into Cork, we meet our guide for a walking tour of this captivating city. After the tour you will have Lunch (included) and then some free time for shopping before meeting up again and continuing our journey to the Cobh (Cove of Cork) Heritage Centre where you can discover Irelands past. Day Eighteen Wednesday 26 th June A short drive to our next campsite close to Waterford. 83 miles
Day Nineteen Thursday 27 th June Our visit today is to the fascinating House of the Waterford Crystal Factory, containing the largest display of the companies own crystal. Following the tour there is time for exploring Waterford city, Ireland s oldest city founded in AD914 and part of Ireland s Ancient East where you ll discover over a thousand years of history within its Viking Triangle. Lunch is included Day Twenty Friday 28 th June Move to our final destination in County Wicklow, in the Garden of Ireland. Why not stop on the way at the village of Avoca, for those that remember this was the setting for the TV series Ballykisangel. 83 miles Day Twenty-One Saturday 29 th June A free day to relax around this multi-award winning park and to enjoy a visit to the microbrewery attached to the sites very own pub. This evening we get together to enjoy our Farewell Dinner. Day Twenty-Two Sunday 30 th June End of the tour. It is only a short drive back to Dublin for returning by ferry to the UK. 38 miles
