CHAIRMAN S LETTER WELCOME Jeff Tyler, Chairman of IPIA Jamie and I would like to welcome each of you to the 101st International Packaged Ice Association Convention in beautiful Nashville, Tennessee being held November 5th-8th 2018. It is an exciting time for the IPIA as we continue to grow in membership over the last few years, and adapt to the constant change in our industry. Nashville is known for its musical roots and we hope that all will have a chance to enjoy this world class destination as we will be staying at the brand new J. W. Marriott Nashville in downtown. This hotel will be one to remember and close to everything in the downtown area. Our Agenda for this year is packed full of exciting events: Get each day started out right by enjoying the Roger Breisch Memorial Fun-Run Walk. The Mel Eads Memorial Golf tournament will be played at the Gaylord Springs Golf Links. However, if you re not playing golf, there s an optional tour to the Hermitage available for all who would like to attend. Our Keynote Speaker is Billy Riggs. You will not only be motivated through his message of the Magic of Balance and a Positive Mental Attitude but will also be amazed by his talent. You will not want to miss him! From the time they set up until the time they tear down our suppliers will not disappoint. So be sure to visit the Exhibit Hall to admire all their hard work. Please take time to visit all our Associate Members/Suppliers booths. It opens Monday, Nov. 5th at 5:30. Our Focus sessions for this year include John Sullivan, LPL-(Financial Technology for Today and Market Update), Marketing for Members Panel, Human Resources Panel, Plant Operations and Technology and PIQCS/FSMA Updates. The Ladies of IPIA are invited for lunch and line dance lessons at the Wild Horse Saloon on Tuesday Nov. 6th 11:00am-2:00pm. Jamie is looking forward to dusting her boots off. Music City Round Up is the theme for the Chairman s Party on Tuesday night. We invite everyone to join us for a night of good food, good music and good friends. Don t want to miss it. After this date you may do a name change but there will not be any refunds. There is a 3% handling fee added to your invoice for those choosing to pay by credit cards. CANCELLATION POLICY: Refunds for registration fees will be granted if they are received 30 days prior to the start of the Convention (Friday, October 5, 2018). There is no charge for substitutions/name changes. A $40.00 processing fee will apply to all refunds requested more than 30 days prior to arrival date. Cancellations prior to 7 days (but within a month) will be subject to a $100 processing fee. There will not be any refunds within 7 days of arrival although substitutions/name changes from same company will be at no charge.
