ITI Congress Mexico Cancún March 7-10 20 18 Shaping the future of dental implantology. www.iti.org/congressmexico The perfect opportunity to broaden horizons: geographical and professional! We would like to welcome professionals with a focus on implant dentistry to a meeting that combines two concentrated days of evidence-based presentations with a relaxed and full social program. The inviting setting of the Hotel Barcelo on the Riviera Maya in the Yucatan region ensures that participants will be able to tank up on both energy and knowledge at the same time. The scientific program is headed up by international keynote speakers ITI President Dr. Stephen Chen from Australia and Dr. Ali Tahmaseb, Associate Professor at ACTA, the Netherlands, who are accompanied by top national speakers. Lectures have been scheduled between 8 am and 3 pm to allow participants enough time to visit the industry exhibition and also take advantage of the Hotel Barcelo s excellent facilities. The ITI Section Mexico looks forward to seeing many colleagues from the ITI community and promises a scientific program that will stimulate discussion and debate. Information Venue: Hotel Barceló Riviera Maya An exclusive 5-hotel complex (Barceló Maya Beach, Barceló Maya Colonial, Barceló Maya Caribe, Barceló Maya Palace and Barceló Maya Tropical), the Hotel Barceló offers guests free access to all its facilities and services. These include the beach, swimming pools, restaurants and bars, club and a great shopping center. The philosophy of the hotel is stay at one, play at four. What could possibly be better? Riviera Maya For some time-out before or after the congress, you cannot do better than the Riviera Maya: white sandy beaches, crystal clear water and tiny coves wherever you happen to be all the way down the coast from Porto Moreles in the north to Punta Allen in the south. Here you will find pretty much every form of water sport from jet-skiing, snorkeling and scuba diving through zip lining to swimming with dolphins and horse riding. A beach holiday on the Riviera Maya does not mean lazing on the beach for hours unless that is exactly what you want to do. There are a couple of things that should not be missed while you are in the Yucatan region: a visit to Chichen Itza with the ruins of one of the largest Mayan cities and swimming or diving in a cenote. Cenotes are amazing caves fed by underwater springs that form freshwater pools with a system of waterways that lead to the sea. Some of the biggest cenotes have been developed to make life easy for tourists with changing rooms, food and beverages, and wooden walkways, while others are relatively untouched. It is worth deciding which type of cenote you are interested in and doing a little research to find the right one. The Pre-Columbian city of Chichen Itza, just 2.5 hours from the congress hotel by car, is a UNESCO World Heritage site. The city houses many fine stone buildings in various states of preservation from different historical periods that reflect the city s rise as a regional center around 600 AD and decline by 1250 AD. The restorations are breathtaking and an invitation to let your imagination travel back in time to a fabled and fascinating culture.
