OVERVIEW Riverside House is a stunning 19 th century residence that sits in a valley two miles from Bridport with a glorious south facing view of Dorset countryside and steep rolling hills. The house is set in 14 acres with the river Mangerton meandering through the gardens and the newly created walkways, winding through the woodlands, are perfect for exploring the grounds (wellies provided). There is a kitchen garden, where in the spring and summer you can help yourself to lettuce, courgettes, beetroot, berries, asparagus and different herbs; a natural swimming pond feed by its own spring where you can take a refreshing afternoon dip and by the river a tee pee for camping, where you can have a BBQ or cook on the camp fire. While the children enjoy the swings you can soak up the wonderful atmosphere and views. The house is a wonderful combination of old and new, the character of the classic 19th century country house is mixed with contemporary furnishings with bespoke lighting from Bowles and Linares, wallpaper from Eley Kishimoto and handmade beds from Norris Bedding which has been supervised by interior designer Jason McLean. The luxurious bathrooms have been fitted by Lefroy Brookes and the kitchen equipment has been exclusively installed by Kitchen Aid. There are 10 bedrooms, 6 in the main house and 4 within the barn complex, all bar one with en suite facilities, accommodating 20 people. Within the main house there is a large kitchen/dining room with every appliance you will need, a pantry, spacious front and rear flag stoned halls, a very large sitting room with two open fires and a smaller snug room with a TV. There is also an indoor pool and gym complex, 3 HD Sky TVs (one of which is 3D), a Sonos system throughout the living areas and ipads available for your use.
