It is part of the parish of Llansantffraed, which consists of three communities - Llanon, The BBC Bus outside the Central Hotel The BBC Bus was in Llanon on 14 March 2006 when Geraint Lloyd broadcast his BBC Radio programme from the village. It's nice to see llannon still standing. I moved here from Northampton so we could be by the sea and the rest of the family down south. It's been 6 years since I moved on, and I haven't been back maybe one day. Sun Mar 16 13:12:56 2008 Malcolm Fish I came to the village of Llanon some 6-7 months ago. The villagers are all pleasant, nice and welcoming. They are friendly and trusting. This is a GREAT place to live. The Central Pub is very welcoming and pleasant Fantastic staff and great customers. Good village shop. Great chip shop. 2 butchers & 2 garages plus most all other requirments. Fantastic walks and views. Cant ask for better. I love it. Behind the old cottage in Heol Non is a small public garden, one of the most peaceful places that I have ever sat in. Fruit trees, secluded, Perfect for peaceful relaxation. Come and visit. Fri Feb 29 09:24:45 2008 Ceredig Hughes, Leicester My grandfather was Ivan Davies who established the farm of Treal Mawr in the early 20th century. He had sold a successful business in London and due to ill health returned to Cardiganshire. My mother, Mary Millicent, Johnny and Alfred were his children. The wife of Alfred I believe still resides in the area as do my cousins Jack Davies and Bryn. I have many happy memories of staying on the farm during my early years and visiting the village of Llanon to visit many of my mothers relations. Many of her relations had links to the sea and I remember my uncle die Grafton who
used to toake me swimming in the sea still wearing his peaked cap on and smoking a pipe. Aunty Bessie was a teacher at the local school was a frequent visitor to our home as was her son Henry Lloyd who followed his fathers footsteps as a sea captain. I would love to get in touch as both my parents have died and I have lost touch with my family in. I came to Australia at age 2 with my sisters Denise, Jacqueline and brother Stephen. My mum was Anne Carlson and my father was Dennis Curry. We also lived in Aberarth for a while before moving to Australia.
