Sun & Moon Yoga Sample Itinerary July 30 August 6, 2017 Optional Extension; August 6 10, 2017 Below is a sample itinerary that includes activities we often consider when designing our cultural immersion programs it is not meant to reflect activities that are guaranteed in every program. The activities that will be included in your customized program are based on availability and program scheduling considerations, and are subject to change. Location 1: Central Bali Ubud Ubud is a thriving village in central Bali and is considered the cultural capital of this tiny island. It is famous as an arts and crafts hub, and much of the village and nearby areas consist of artists workshops and galleries. Here you find remarkable architecture and other sites historical museums, famous woodcarvers and artists, and an array of interesting cafes, local foods, and non stop ceremonies. The word Ubud comes from the Balinese word for medicine, so it is here that people flock for healing energies, good spirits, meditation, yoga, artistry, and indigenous knowledge.

Over dinner, you ll have the opportunity to ask the Prince questions about Bali s traditional culture as well as modern day challenges After dinner, witness the world famous Balinese Legong dance performance August 1 Day 3 Eco Bike Tour: Cycle downhill through rural roads, plantations, fields, and rice terraces, inhale the fresh air, feel the unique spirit and feel the magic of rural Bali Local village banjar (community center) experience including making offerings, practicing gamelan music, trying out Balinese dance, and woodcarving
August 2 Day 4 Wake up at sunrise to experience a traditional market, walk through serene rice paddies, and visit a holy spring temple where countless Balinese go for purification rituals each year Eat lunch up in the hills of Kintamani with a panoramic view of Mount Batur, one of Bali s active volcanoes Free to wander through Ubud and experience the sights and sounds of this fascinating village Have a delicious meal with a Balinese women s center and learn about their job skills and healthy living programs August 3 Day 5 Herbal Walk: Local experts lead this walk around the Campuhan River valley area, as you are introduced you to the techniques and practices of traditional and contemporary Balinese herbal healing Spend the late afternoon with Agung Rai, founder of an iconic Balinese art museum as he shows you remnants of Bali s ancient history hidden under Ubud s more modern facade August 4 Day 6 Visit one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Bali at Tegenungan waterfall Relax the afternoon away with special spa treatments at Cantika Spa
August 5 Day 7 Group 1: Special visit to a renowned healer, Tjokorda Rai, and observe his healing sessions with local patients. EXTENSION: August 6 10 Location 2: North Bali Pemuteran Pemuteran is a small fishing village on the northern coast of West Bali. It is located in close proximity to West Bali National Park, Menjangan Island, and Gilimanuk, the port allowing passage between Bali and Java. Pemuteran is home to the largest artificial coral reef project in the world, and the village s model of community based tourism and conservation has been recognized by the United Nations.
August 6 Day 8 Head to Pemuteran and on the way visit Ulun Danu Bratan, one of the most iconic temples in Bali on Lake Beratan Settle into your gorgeous private villa resort, right at the ocean front August 7 Day 9 Learn about the Coral Restoration Project and have the opportunity to snorkel over the coral structures Free for snorkelling, massages and ultimate relaxation Share a meal with a local Balinese family at their home compound and join them for a ceremony at a local night temple August 8 Day 10 & Take a day trip to Menjangan Island for some of the region s most amazing snorkeling sites
Location 3: West Bali Mengwi Mengwi is located in the western part of Bali and is famous for its rolling green landscapes, clove and coffee plantations and spectacular rice paddies. The village of Mengwi has a long and rich history associated with its royal family, one of Bali s main ancient kingdoms, and is nestled in shady coconut groves, surrounded by rice fields and rivers. August 9 Day 11 Settle into relaxing accommodations nestled among the rice paddies.
