Technical Assistance of New Kansai International Airport Engineering for Aircraft Refueling Facilities at Terminal 2 of Noi Bai International Airport in Hanoi, Vietnam New Kansai International Airport Engineering Co., Ltd. (NKE), one of the New Kansai International Airport (NKIAC) group companies, has been providing technical assistance for two years since fiscal 2013 in the operation and maintenance planning support project (with aircraft refueling technology) for Noi Bai International Airport in Hanoi, Vietnam commissioned by Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). With a series of technical assistance, the construction of a new terminal including refueling facilities was completed, and a completion ceremony was held in Hanoi, Vietnam, on Sunday, January 4, 2015. NKIAC has been making various efforts including strategic alliances with overseas airports toward business value improvements. Following the consultant business for the overseas airport commissioned to the group company this time, NKIAC will continue working on overseas projects proactively. Technical Assistance in Operation and Maintenance of Aircraft Refueling Facilities at Terminal 2 of Noi Bai International Airport in Hanoi, Vietnam Vietnam s first hydrant-type refueling facilities came into operation under NKE s technical assistance New Kansai International Airport Engineering Co., Ltd. (NKE) provided technical assistance for two years in the operation and maintenance of the refueling facilities of Terminal 2 of Noi Bai International Airport in Hanoi, Vietnam commissioned by Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). Recently, the refueling facilities of Vietnam s first hydrant-type came into operation along with the Terminal 2 building of Noi Bai International Airport in Hanoi, Vietnam. A completion ceremony for the facilities was held in January 4, and Kiyoshi Hoji, Senior Managing Director of NKE, as well as Japanese government officials headed by Mr. Akihiro Ota, Minister of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, and officials of Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) attended the ceremony. NKE s technical assistance up to now has been outlined as follows: Description 1. Reference photos Aircraft refueling facilities of Noi Bai International Airport Field technical assistance Refueling of first morning flight Completion ceremony * Hydrant-type refueling is a method for refueling through a vehicle called servicer to an aircraft standing by, to which fuel supply is pumped up right below the aircraft from an oil storage tank through underground piping. This method makes it possible to refuel a large amount of aviation fuel to the aircraft quickly and safely without using refueling tankers.

China Eastern Airlines will start new service between KIX and Wenzhou China Eastern Airline (MU) will launch new service between KIX and Wenzhou from February 21 (Sat.), 2015. Wenzhou City with a population of about 7.4 million is located in the southern Zhejiang, China, as its economic and cultural center and blessed with scenic beauty. By expanding the service, the China Eastern Airlines group is to operate 56 flights a week in total from KIX to 10 major cities in China: Shanghai, Beijing, Qingdao, Yantai, Nanjing, Wenzhou, Xi an, Chengdu, Kunming, and Zhengzhou. Wenzhou is destined for the first time from KIX, which will expand the airline s network furthermore. Air Macau will start daily service with Airbus A320 between KIX and Macau Air Macau (NX), currently operating Airbus A319 four flights a week between KIX and Macau, will add three flights a week with larger Airbus A320 from March 29 (), 2015. Established in 1994, the airlines started flying from KIX in July 2007, and is the only airline connecting between KIX and Macau. The daily service with a larger aircraft and greater frequency will be more convenient for both customers and freights. Overseas Shipments of Kyoto Beef Miyabi from KIX Brand Kyoto beef representing Kansai to be exported abroad for the first time Brand Kyoto beef representing the Kansai area will be exported abroad from KIX for the first time on Monday, February 2, 2015. The first shipment of approximately 500 kg of Kyoto beef under the brand name of Miyabi will be destined to Singapore on a flight (Singapore Airlines SQ615) from KIX. In the future, there will be an expansion of export destinations worldwide in order to deliver the real Kyoto taste to dinner tables worldwide from KIX. KIX has been promoting Japanese food exports in conjunction with local governments and the business community. Eva Airways has increased the number of flights to Taipei and launched new service to Kaohsiung from February Eva Airways (BR) has increased the number of flights between KIX and Taipei from February 1 (), 2015, and started new service between KIX and Kaohsiung from February 5 (Thu.), 2015. KIX has installed QR Translator for multilingual service - This model project has been started first among public transportation industry for convenience of foreign tourists Recently, more and more foreign tourists are visiting Japan, and the number of those who used KIX in 2014 hit the highest of 6.3 million (preliminary figures). To respond to growing needs for information in multiple languages, KIX has installed QR Translator, which uses QR code to display various information in maximum 15 languages. This is the first model project in public transportation facilities. KIX will improve convenience furthermore for customer satisfaction as part of the Smile Airport! project. Spring Airlines has started new service to Tsingtao and Lanzhou Spring Airlines (9C), a Chinese LCC, has started new services between KIX and Tsingtao and between KIX and Lanzhou (via Shanghai) from January 24 (Sat.), 2015. Now the airline operates total 28 flights a week to six destinations from KIX to Shanghai, Chongqing, Tianjin, Wuhan, Tsingtao and Lanzhou. The KIX-Lanzhou route, which has been offered for the first time since KIX was opened, expands the airline s network into the inland areas in China. Air Busan will increase the number of flights between KIX and Busan January 30, 2015 Air Busan (BX) will increase its service by additional 4 flights a week between KIX and Busan from March 29 (), 2015. Sky Angkor Airlines will first operate its charter flights between KIX and Cambodia! Cambodian Sky Angkor Airlines (ZA) will operate its charter flights between KIX and Cambodia (Siem Reap). The airline, which was established in 2010 under the name of Skywings Asia Airlines, was renamed to Sky Angkor Airlines in December 2014. Jin Air will start servicing between KIX and Seoul (Inchon)! Jin Air (LJ) will start servicing 7 flights a week between KIX and Seoul (Inchon) from March 2 (Mon.), 2015. Jin Air, established in Korea in 2008 as an LCC, is based in Seoul (Inchon International Airport) to connect its network among East Asia and Japan. Project to Expand Food Exports Using KIX Expanding Kansai s Food to Dinner Tables Worldwide Holding ALL Kansai Festival in Singapore and B-to-B Meetings in Singapore KIX has been promoting Japanese food exports in conjunction with local governments and the business community. In the meantime, the Kansai Foods Export Promotion Cooperative Association, which was established by organizations centered on private enterprises in the Kansai area, has been exerting its scale merit that cannot be achieved by a single small or medium-sized enterprise, and steadily achieving satisfactory results in the continuous trading of Omi beef, fresh fish, high-grade fruit, and other types of food. Taking Singapore as a promising market of Japanese food exports, where Japanese food is in high demand, KIX has decided to hold a fair event and business meetings entitled ALL Kansai Festival in Singapore and B-to-B Meetings in Singapore, respectively, in conjunction with organizations concerned. This will be the third ALL Kansai Festival following the first and second ALL Kansai Festival events held in Thailand and Malaysia, respectively.
