Ireland 2016 Experience springtime in Ireland, the Isle of Man and England by steam train! Day 1 May 11th Special Interest Tours is happy to offer a direct group flight, leaving from New York (JFK) to Dublin. Upon registering please let us know if you would like to purchase the direct group flight.
Day 2 May 12th Arrive in Dublin in the early A.M., and spend the day sightseeing throughout this capital city. Day 3 May 13th With the members of the Railway Preservation Society of Ireland, we will travel behind steam from Dublin to Westport, a picture-perfect bayside Irish town just off the Atlantic. Once there, we ll have a two-night stay to explore the vast, green scenery of the west.
Day 4 March, May 14th 11th Once aboard our coach bus, we will depart Chena and return to Fairbanks. Along the way, we will stop briefly at the Alaskan Pipeline, a great architectural feat in the harshest of climates. We will explore the mountainous coastal area around Westport and return to our charming village late in the day. Day 5 Late afternoon will bring a brilliant tour highlight: Bob Berman s major illustrated presentation Light and Color in the Universe. This beautiful island offers spectacular views of the Irish Sea and, from its highest summit, glimpses of surrounding England, Ireland, and Wales.

Day Day 12 4 March, 11th May 22nd Once aboard our coach bus, we will depart Chena and return to Fairbanks. Along the way, we will stop briefly at the Alaskan Pipeline, a great architectural feat in the harshest of climates. In the morning, guests who choose to complete their tour at this time (declining the extension), can make the brief journey from our hotel to Heathrow for their departure flights. Late afternoon will bring a brilliant tour highlight: Bob Berman s major illustrated presentation Light and Color in the Universe. Come evening, assuming weather conditions prove fair, we will charter a coach to transport our group to a special remote location, in an attempt to experience the impressive aurora lights! Paris Extension Guests looking to spend an extra 3 days in Paris will join us aboard a modern train, and travel through the Chunnel. Upon arrival in Paris, spend three full days traveling at your leisure. Additionally, we ve prepared a final train ride across northern France.
