Play the game on p. 9 of the Student Book with your child. Then practice saying what you need to go to the amusement park and to the airport. Let s Read Student Book 4, Unit 1, pages 10-11 Phonics Phonics: ch (chicken, cheese, chocolate) sh (sheep, shorts, shirt) Have your child practice saying the ch and sh words with you. Listen to the Student Audio CD with your child to practice the correct pronunciation of each word. Then ask your child to say the My Sheep Wears Shorts phonics chant along with the audio. You may want to repeat it several times together. Invite your child to read the photo essay, Meet Chad From Chile. Encourage your child to write and draw stories of his or her own using the phonics words.
