ABOUT US Armenian Progressive Youth (APY) is a non-governmental youth organization based in Yerevan, Armenia. Organization was founded in 2009 by a group of enthusiastic young people in order to support young people, involve them in different civic processes and work. Today APY unites many local and international volunteers, organizers youth exchanges, workshops, training courses and campaigns. It promotes environmental protection, intercultural learning, youth activism, healthy lifestyle, peace and volunteerism.

ABOUT THE PROJECT Youth Exchange will gather 35 young people from Armenia, Georgia, Moldova, Italy, Spain, Czech Republic and Turkey in order to share opinions about the concept of Sustainable Development and take responsibly to actively participate in shaping a sustainable world. During the exchange young people will have a unique opportunity to discuss the idea of sustainable development and learn about the interaction between the four dimensions of Sustainable Development - environment, society, culture and economy as well as intergenerational and global fairness. Hence, mainly non-formal learning methods will be applied, such as workshops, discussions, group works, outdoor activities, city game, field visits. The project will take place in Yerevan, Armenia from 1st to 9th of March, 2014.

DATES, ACCOMMODATION & VENUE Date of arrival: 1 st of March, 2014 Date of departure: 9 th of March, 2014 Project will last 9 days and will take place in Yerevan, Armenia. Yerevan is the capital and largest city of Armenia and one of the world's oldest continuously inhabited cities. Yerevan is the administrative, cultural, and industrial center of the country. It has been the capital since 1918, the thirteenth in the history of Armenia. Participants will stay in the hostel JR s House which is located 3 minutes to the metro station, and around 15 minutes walk to the center of the city. For Participants: The deadline to send us an APPLICATION FORMS of the Participants is 1 of February! NOTE! ALL THE TICKETS MUST BE ALREADY PURCHASED BY 5th of FEBRUARY!

FINANCIAL CONDITIONS, TRAVEL COST & VISA Reimbursement will be done in EUR, regardless of the currency indicated on the ticket and receipt/invoice. Any tickets purchased in a local currency other than EUR, will then be converted and calculated according to the exchange rate of the month. Please check travel budget limits above. If travel costs exceed the amount budgeted in the project, the organizers will only be able to reimburse participants 70% of the maximum travel costs indicated in the travel budget. Participants are therefore strongly advised to book trip travel well in advance. EU citizens as well as citizens of Georgia and Moldova do not need visas to enter Armenia. Citizens of Turkey can get the visa on the border and it costs about 6 euro for short stay (21 days). Participants from Turkey, who hold GREEN (DIPLOMATIC) passports should contact us in advance to make an Invitation Letter for them.

HOW TO GET TO THE VENUE The best and cheapest way to come to Armenia from is to take a flight to Yerevan (Armenia) or Tbilisi (Georgia). IF YOU ARRIVE TO YEREVAN AIRPORT: The participants landing in Yerevan will be picked up by the organizers. IF YOU ARRIVE TO TBILISI AIRPORT: We can arrange a bus for you from the airport to Yerevan. It depends how many people will travel to Tbilisi. IF YOU ARRIVE TO KUTAISI AIRPORT: You have to take bus to Tbilisi (cost 20 GEL).

WHAT TO BRING DOCUMENTS Collect the documents for the Reimbursement: Tickets (there must be price and name of the person stated on it). Boarding passes (in case of loss please get a confirmation from the airlines, that the flight was taken) Invoices yes, even if you have a ticket, our accounting still needs an INVOICE. SUSTAINABLE CULTURAL EVENING Local food, fruits, nonalcoholic drinks and other things that might be useful to present your culture (costumes, music instruments, games, etc.) NO ALCOHOL PLEASE
