Congratulations to Hatfield Borough s 2016 Citizen of the Year THE HATFIELD POLICE DEPARTMENT John Weierman (right). On December 4, 2016, Hatfield Borough Council recognized the Hatfield Police Department as their 2016 Citizen of the Year. The presentation took place at the Annual Volunteer Holiday Luncheon at the Joseph Ambler Inn. Lt. Jane Robertson was present to accept the honor on behalf of the entire department. 2 Borough Council, Staff & Mayor UPDATES FROM BOROUGH COUNCIL Council President, John H. Weierman MUNICIPAL COMPLEX UPDATE Borough Council has authorized the advertisement of the Bid Specifications for the new Hatfield Borough Municipal Complex. Bid openings are scheduled for February 22, 2017 @ 3:15PM at the Hatfield Volunteer Fire Company (75 N. Market St.). A tentative schedule indicates construction to start in May 2017 with substantial completion summer of 2018. Keep in touch with all Borough social media outlets for future updates. Mayor Robert L. Kaler III Borough Council and Mayor Kaler encourage residents and business owners to participate in all community events. The annual Roll & Stroll Business Open House will be held on Monday May 15th. Come out and walk, bike or ride the Trolley Car around town to visit and support local businesses. More details to follow in the next issue of the Borough Informer. With the current building transition, Mayor Kaler does not have consistent office hours. If you would like to make an appointment to speak with him, please call the Borough Office at 215-855-0781 option 9 and someone will assist you in doing so. Thank you for your cooperation. Thank you to all the Borough Residents and Borough Businesses that participated in our annual Holiday Decorating Contest.
