PAGE 2 MOOSE MESSENGER A WORD FROM BOB WOLF, ADMINISTRATOR The editor beat me up and said I had to say something this month, so here goes. We ve been doing a lot of maintenance and improvements around the lodge and there is a big project scheduled for mid July that we will have to close for a few days to get it completed. I m sure there will be more details elsewhere in the bulletin. We are hoping to return to some of the better days and times, doing what we should be doing as a Moose Lodge. After all, it is our Kids at Mooseheart and the Seniors at Moosehaven that we exist for, let us never loose sight of these objectives! Fraternally, Bob Wolf, Administrator CAN PULL TOPS With all the rain we have been getting, plus the combination of Fertilizer we put down, our grass is growing like crazy. That boils down to more lawn mower time and ends up to more cold ones time, which means more pop tops for the Ronald McDonald House. Keep up the GREAT work. Following are people & organizations that donated tabs from April 19 to June 4, 2018: Bond Hill Café, Ed Malloy, Ron Bregen, Rob Writesel, Bruce & Karen, Ken Dalton (Loveland Moose), Norwood American Legion Post #123, Christiane Bowman, Gina Jourdan, Ken Gillespie & Cathy Siuda, American Legion Post #944, Mr. & Mrs. William P. Kelley, Mike & Lori Smith, Bartenders (Billy, Angie, Melissa, Mike & Lisa). Thank you all for popping the tops. Ken & Jane Malloy SAVE THE DATE!! The Lodge Picnic is September 15th!! $5 FOR MEMBERS, $20 FOR NON MEMBERS THE LODGE WILL BE CLOSED JULY 16, 17 AND 18 IN ORDER TO HAVE THE CEILING REPLACED. NORWOOD MOOSE MESSENGER PAGE 3 SENIOR REGENTS REPORT Hello Moose members! As the new Senior Regent I want to thank everyone for believing in me (I m the first one on the left on the bottom row). I feel honored. I have a lot to learn and I welcome any guidance along the way, any suggestion is always welcome. Lets make this a great year, and don t forget to volunteer when you get a chance. Beverly Siegel Senior Regent WOTM OFFICERS 2018-2019 GOVERNORS MESSAGE Hello, I would like to thank you for providing me another year and another opportunity to make our Lodge better, but I need your help. One of the ways you can help with improving your Lodge is volunteering. We have opportunities coming up for you to help. The Norwood Day parade is July 24 and we need walkers to help us get the word out. You could participate in the Corn Hole Tourney, support the grill out, support the WOTM Bake Sales and dinners, donate to the Back to School Drive. There are many ways to help. Please take note of all of the improvements that are coming up. We have Spruce the Moose on August 26th at 9 am. Remember we will be closed July 16,17, and 18 to replace the ceiling in the Grill Room. Thank you for your understanding while we improve your Lodge.
