There were about 60 members present. Thanks to all those who attended! Welcome to any new members who have joined us. Kevin's Trail IS open! There was some confusion between the meeting in June and when the newsletter was sent for printing. Since the time of printing and posting, the trail had been reopened and it was too late to make the change. Sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused. This trail will remain open! There are a few spots on our trail system where people are going off the trail, onto private land and tearing things up. This is UNACCEPTABLE and will not be tolerated by the landowners or the club. These spots were blocked off and signs were posted and whoever it was took it down and STILL went off the trail onto private land. We need to be watching out for this and if they are caught they will be prosecuted! Someone was caught riding in the pits off the trail and the parents were charged with trespassing. Items are being taken off the trails and/or damaged. If there are things on the trails like signs, crosses, pictures, planters, etc they are to stay on the trails, unless removed by the club. Be respectful! Trails are being considered once again to Osceola. Watch for updates. There will be another Mud Bog and Obstacle course for 2017. This years went so well and everyone had such a great time, we decided to do it again. Watch for details next year. The Veterans ride is coming up on the 13 th. Help will be needed to set things up, cook, serve, clean up, etc. It will be held on the club property this year. If anyone has a machine or helmet they are willing to donate for the day, it would be greatly appreciated. Come and join us for the day to help give thanks to our veterans. There are a couple parades we have been asked to ride in. Williamstown and Redfield: Williamstown is the 13th, meeting at clubhouse and leaving at 5pm, parade starts at 6pm. Will not interfere with Veterans ride as that will be over. Redfield is Sept. 3rd, It would be great to get as many as we can to do these parades. In the works, in the near future you will be able to get memberships and maps at Tailwater Lodge. Watch for details! 50/50 $78.00, won by Linda Leone, Linda donated $40 back to the club. Thank you Linda!!!!

Trail Updates: The club is working on trails to Amboy, Parish and Osceola. There are NO trails there yet. Kevin's Trail is OPEN! Please note, the Yamaha Trail is still closed due to logging. If you have signed up to do trail work, please call the trail boss for whatever day of the week you are interested in. It is up to you to contact them. They need all the help they can get. If there is a trail marked closed and it has ribbon, signs, gates or any other such things, then the trail is closed. Do Not go around. It may be closed do to a hazard, issue with a landowner, hunting (if there is at the time) or many other things. We have trails that open and close at different times throughout the riding season. It is not possible to mark these on the maps because they change so much. Check the website, facebook or call a Trail Boss if you have any questions about a certain trail. There is lots of work to do!
