Use wrench nd crefully give it qurter turn in either direction so tht the br runs crosswise on the pipe. The line is now closed. Shut off vlves covered with pint should be tpped gently to brek the sel; forcing the vlve cn brek it. If you hve propne (gs in tnk), turn off the min gs supply vlve if it is sfe to do so.
