NACB Player Pre-Registration Pre-register for players will take place in the Hilton Hotel, Dedham at 8:30 pm in the hotel lobby only for teams playing at 8:00 am on Friday morning. Here you can get updated schedule information, bus schedule and hotel specials. Hotels have set up daily food and drink specials just for the NACB finals. Make sure you check it out. Team Buses to the ICC: The Host Committee will be providing bus transportation to and from hotels to the fields beginning at 6:15 am until 7:00 pm. Buses will be on an hourly schedule throughout the day with an emphasis on the morning and evening rush hours. Buses will be labeled with hotel names and towns. The pick- up and drop off area is located near the main entrance. Schedules will be posted on the fence at this location. Bus pass for the weekend is $10. Everyone taking the bus will be required to wear a wristband. If you lose the wristband you will be required to purchase a new one for the weekend. NO EXCEPTIONS. This will cover transport from your approved hotel to the Irish Cultural Centre and return from the Cultural Centre to the hotel each day. A complete bus schedule is attached. Bus schedule is subject to change. There will not be a bus service to and from the airport to the hotel but a list of alternatives is listed below. Logan Airport Arrival Transportation: Below is a list of taxis for the local area where your hotel is located. You can always get a taxi/minivan from the airport to your hotel. From West of Boston Follow the Masspike (I-90) east towards Boston. Take exit number 14 (Sth. Shore/Cape Cod) to merge onto I-95 S / MA-128 S. Follow Route 128/95 North to Route 93 North. General Information for Irish Cultural Centre: We have received and are required to notify you of the following requirements from the Irish Cultural Centre: 1 - All bags are subject to being searched 2 - Absolutely no alcoholic beverages will be permitted on the grounds 3 - You will be required to wear a wristband to purchase alcohol. Please bring ID with you. 4 - Absolutely no pets are allowed with the exception of dogs accompanying the visually impaired 5 - You will be allowed to bring in tents to the Irish Cultural Centre. We will have designated areas on the campus where you will be allowed to pitch your tents. No tents will be allowed to be put up near the actual playing fields. You should check with a Staff person if you are unsure of the designated areas. We appreciate everyone's cooperation with the above requirements, as we are required to escort anyone found to be in possession of the above from the premises, which means exclusion from the grounds for the entire weekend. We do not want this to happen. Entertainment: On Friday and Saturday the Irish Cultural Centre will be providing entertainment for all visitors to Boston. The Green Rovers will be there on Friday, August 29 th from 6-9 pm, Saturday, August 30 th a local band The Gobshites will provide entertainment from 7-10pm and DJ Dan Hallissey will be in the tent on Sunday, August 31st from 5 pm. Bus transportation has been arranged through the Irish Cultural Centre to return people back to their hotels. Please see the attached flyer. Mass: Mass will be celebrated on Sunday, August 31 at 7:30 am at the Irish Cultural Centre in Canton in the main building on the second floor. Buses will be available for pick up at the hotels on Sunday morning. Everyone is welcome to attend. Water: Water stations will be set up on each field. We would recommend that players bring their own water bottles; we will have water towers on each field for players and coaches only. Presentations: Presentation of Cups and Medals will take place on Sunday, August 31 at the main registration tent after each team final. Teams will be asked to step off the field so other teams can prepare for their game. Medals and cups will be presented by a member of the NACB Committee or Croke Park.
Lost & Found: A Lost & Found table will be set up in the Main Registration Tent. Telecast: The Irish Cultural Centre will be showing telecasts from Ireland this weekend Entrance fee for telecast is $20.00. Saturday, Aug. 30 at 12:00 pm: Kerry vs Mayo Sunday, Aug. 31 at 10:30 am: Donegal vs Dublin EMT/Medical Tent: We will have two medical tents set up for the entire weekend staffed with EMTs and physios. One tent will be located near the Main Tent close to Field A and the other will be at the Windsor Woods Fields. Food The Irish Cultural Centre arranged for a variety of food for the weekend. Menus, times and locations of tents are included. Vendors There will be a number of vendor tents at the finals. Please stop by and see what they have to offer.
