Experience It! Lausanne Vineyards UNESCO World Heritage Site Nestled between Lausanne and Montreux, along the crystal shores of Lake Geneva, the bon viveur of a region known as the Swiss Wine Route begs exploration. Switzerland s largest, most contiguous region stretches for miles (800 hectares to be exact) with daringly-constructed hillside terraces that have earned the UNESCO World Heritage site designation. This is Lavaux, the heart of Swiss wine country, where distinctive vintages feature heady notes of tradition dating as far back as the 11th century, and footpaths whisk you to destinations of pastoral splendor where wine cellars and tasting rooms dot the incredible scenery of the Lavaux vineyard region, awakening all the senses, but most especially, the sense of taste. Please Note: Single accommodations are limited and are available on a first come, first served basis. Triple accommodations are not available due to hotel restrictions. Air passengers will arrive and depart Zurich, Switzerland airport. Your Swiss Travel Pass will be needed for ALL transportation on this tour, utilizing the Swiss Travel System. Porterage service for luggage is included between hotels. Pedal the banks of the Areuse River on a leisurely and illuminating bicycle tour, where the impressive torrents and bridged ravines of the Areuse deliver you to Motiers, the oldest village in the Val de Tavers.
