IBWA and NAMA 2016 Conferences Same Dates and Same Location November 7-11, 2016 Gaylord Opryland Hotel, Nashville, TN The International Bottled Water Association (IBWA) and the National Automatic Merchandising Association (NAMA) will again conduct two of their conferences over the same dates and at the same location. The 2016 IBWA Annual Business Conference and Trade Show will be held November 7-11 and the 2016 NAMA CoffeeTea&Water show will be held November 8-10. Both conferences will be held at the Gaylord Opryland Hotel in Nashville, Tennessee. The two organizations have met together annually since 2012. Feedback from conference attendees continues to support that this co-location is a successful and beneficial partnership. Joint attendance in 2015 reached 1100 registrants. Attendees were able to experience a new level of networking and education through access to 150 exhibiting companies during the trade show and by participating in the 33 educational sessions that were offered. IBWA and NAMA plan to continue to build on this success for their 2016 conferences in Nashville. The IBWA registration fee includes access to all NAMA events. PLAN TO ATTEND REPRESENT THE BOTTLED WATER INDUSTRY & REGISTER AS AN IBWA ATTENDEE Many bottled water companies, particularly those in the home and office delivery (HOD) business, also offer coffee and tea to their customers. Co-locating the IBWA and NAMA conferences will enable attendees and exhibitors to achieve a greater return on their investment by providing expanded educational programming, exposure to a broader range of products and services, and increased networking opportunities. Joe Doss, IBWA President and CEO The IBWA Annual Business Conference is the only national bottled water-centric event held in the United States. According to the Beverage Marketing Corporation, bottled water sales increased by 8.9% in 2015, now totaling $14.2 billion (wholesale). With sales on the increase again, and new regulations under the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) being rolled out by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), attendance at the IBWA conference will provide the networking and educational opportunities you need to leverage and ensure a return-on-investment for you and your company. 2016 IBWA Annual Business Conference and Trade Show 7/7/16 Page 1

As a result of changes to the CPO certification program in 2015, all IBWA education sessions at the 2016 IBWA Annual Business Conference will be eligible for CEUs. This makes the conference an ideal time to become certified, or to obtain CEUs to keep your certification current. 2016 IBWA Annual Business Conference and Trade Show 7/7/16 Page 5

To keep certification current, CPOs may either retake the CPO exam every three years or accrue the required 21 CEUs (up to 6 CEUs can be from non-technical/business topics)--within each three-year period which averages out to only 7 CEUs per year. IBWA offers an outstanding education program that encompasses the industry s key issues, including business and technical challenges, and solutions. Leading experts and bottled water professionals will provide the latest information on a wide variety of topics relative to today s competitive marketplace. At this year s conference, 19.25 CEUs are available 9.75 Technical CEUs and 9.50 business CEUs. IBWA members who want to take the CPO exam can do so on Friday, November 11, 2016 from 8:00 am 11:00 am and are encouraged to study the IBWA Plant Technical Reference Manual and Bottled Water Code of Practice to study for the CPO exam. For CPO Questions/Information: Contact Claire Crane, Education and Technical Program Coordinator at 703-647-4612 or via email ccrane@bottledwater.org.
