WHO WE ARE We are one of the largest students unions in the UK, representing 37,000 students across two campuses in Manchester and Cheshire. WHAT WE DO We provide support and opportunities for students through our 150 sports clubs and societies, a leading advice centre and countless inclusive events throughout the year. OUR UNION BUILDING We sit in one of the most impressive student buildings in the country located in the heart of the MMU campus and named one of the UK s Best New Buildings by the RIBA National Awards. 3

The Union building contains multiple versatile spaces including a large Main Hall, Bar, Conferencing Suite, several meeting rooms as well as a Studio. MAIN HALL Our impressive Main Hall is the ultimate venue for large events. A dynamic space with natural lighting and blackout curtains, ideal for both daytime and evening occasions. With optional bar hire, various stages and full AV, this is the perfect venue for awards nights, large parties and live events. CONFERENCE SUITE Complete with balcony breakout area the conferencing suite is ideal for networking, conferencing and intimate events. This is a fresh and contemporary space available as one or two rooms including a projector and screen in both options. This space is also fully licenced to cater for events with alcohol. MEETING ROOMS Our modern meeting rooms are all complete with projector, screen and plenty of seating for your guests. Each room is bright and fresh due to our ceiling to floor glass walls and are ideal for varied meeting styles. All rooms include full AV but you must provide your own laptop / tablet. THE SALUTATION Located next to The Union this recently restored traditional Manchester pub is ideal for meetings, parties, celebrations and exhibitions. FIRST FLOOR Upstairs we have a versatile function space that can be used as one large room or two smaller rooms. This modern space includes full AV and private toilet facilities so that your event can be completely self-contained. KEY FEATURES Beer garden Cask and craft ales Traditional pub food 13

CATERING AND REFRESHMENTS We can cater for any event no matter how big or small. We have various delicious conferencing menu options available, all freshly prepared on the day by our high quality chefs and served according to your needs.
