Check-in and Check-out Time Check-in time is at 2:00pm. Check-out time is at 11:00am. Late departure can be arranged with extra charge, just on request and based on availability. Room Key Upon arrival, you will find your key inside of a lock box by your door. Please use the same code to leave the key before your departure. BTB FORM You are required to fill out the Belize Tourism Board registration form. You ll find the form on a clipboard left on the table. This form is a worldwide Must and need to be filled out by one Guest per Room. Our water goes through a purification system, and is suitable for drinking. We recommend rather drinking the bottled water provided in your room.
INTERNET AND GAMES Complimentary Wireless Internet access is available throughout the house. Network: blueparrot - Password: PARROT2017 A variety of board, card and cornhole games are available for guest use. Please return all pieces to their boxes when you finished playing. Corn hole boards and bags are located in the outdoor equipment shed. Please replace if not in use. SMOKING Blue Parrot is a non-smoking hotel. If you wish to smoke please do so outside. There is a smoking fine of USD $500 for guests who smoke within the room to cover the cleaning of linen, carpets and furniture within the room. DAMAGES Any losses or damage to the house will be charged. Please report any losses or incurred during your stay - unreported damages will have a USD $50 unreported damages fee along with the cost of the damages. SECURITY Hopkins is a safe, friendly village, but there is always a risk. Please do not leave wallets, phones, computers or any other valuables unattended around the property. Before you leave, lock any valuables in the in-room safe. Well-trained security is on the premises from 10pm-6am.
CURRENCY & ECONOMY The official currency is the Belize Dollar. The exchange rate is BZ$2 to US$1. Most businesses accept US dollars, American Express, Master and Visa Cards If feel you received great service, feel free to leave a tip. Gratuity in Belize is typically 10% - 15%. ENVIRONMENTAL CONSERVATION Kindly turn all lights, television, radios and air conditioning off when not in use or prior to leaving your room. When using your air conditioner please check that all windows are tightly closed. Please report noisy, leaky faucets and toilets. Soda pop and beer bottles are recyclable. Please do not throw them in with your garbage, as they will end up as landfill. Thank you for your cooperation, if there is anything we can do to make your stay with us more comfortable please do not hesitate to let us know. HOUSEKEEPING Housekeeping is provided daily. Every Guest will receive: 3 bathroom towels and 1 beach towel. Extra towels or fresh towels and linen can be provided by request. We can also arrange for laundry services if needed. Please let us know if you d like to schedule any additional housekeeping services. We love being on-the-beach but the humid, salty tropical climate is very abrasive. We make every effort to ensure our facilities are well-maintained, but please let us know if anything needs extra attention. BEACH There is no lifeguard on duty. Please use caution when enjoying aquatic activities and supervise children at all times. Beach chairs are exclusively for guest use. If you have not rented the entire house, please be considerate of other guests sharing the common areas.
BEACH TOWELS The blue and white striped towels in your room are to be used for the beach. Please do not take any other towels out of the house. Please, bring all beach towels back inside each day. KAYAKS & BIKES Sea kayaks, paddle boards and bikes are available for free for guest use. Life vests and paddles are available inside the equipment shed. You will be charged for any lost or damaged equipment. Bicycles can be found in the front of the house. Booth, Kayaks, Paddle Boards and Bicycles must to be locked overnight or when you leave for the day. Beach toys are for the exclusive use of Blue Parrot guests only.
