Day 1- Sunday, April 10, 2011 Our South African Itinerary We will be met at Cape Town Airport and transferred to the Victoria and Alfred Hotel. We are at this lovely hotel for a 3 night stay with breakfast included each morning. Dinner is on our own with many restaurants within walking distance of the hotel on the V & A Waterfront. Overnight at the Victoria and Alfred Hotel in a Piazza- facing room (on a Bed & Breakfast basis). Day #2 Monday, April 11, 2011 We will be picked up at 9:00 AM for a City Centre Tour, Table Mountain and Cape Peninsula Tour (includes all entrance fees). Lunch will be at Harbour House. Lunch is included, but drinks are not. We will return to the hotel at 5:00 PM. Table Mountain Cable Car you will be riding At 7:00 PM we are picked up for dinner at Emily s. Dinner is included, but not drinks. We will be transferred back to the V & A hotel after dinner. Overnight at the Victoria and Alfred Hotel in a Piazza. Day #3 Tuesday, April 12, 2011 The morning is for our own leisure. We will be picked up at 1:30 PM to enjoy an afternoon visiting various community projects with Uthando SA. At 7:00 PM we will be picked up for dinner at Five Flies. Transportation and Dinner are included but not drinks.
Overnight at the Victoria and Alfred Hotel. Day # 4 Wednesday, April 13, 2011 We will be picked up from the V & A Hotel at 9:00 AM for a morning shopping trip the guides will ascertain your interests beforehand and then schedule appointments with galleries, jewelry shops, arts and crafts dealers. We continue onto Winelands, to Moyo at Spier for lunch and local entertainment (includes a set menu lunch but not drinks. Following lunch, we will be transferred to the Village of Franschhoek, in the Cape Winelands, where you will check into Le Franschhoek Hotel & Spa. At 5:00 PM our coach will take us to the centre of the Village so that we can enjoy the boutiques and atmosphere of the village and have dinner at any restaurant we choose, as it is on our own. At 8:00 the coach will transfer us back to our hotel. Overnight at the Le Franschhoek Hotel in a standard room on a Bed & Breakfast basis. Day # 5 Thursday, April 14, 2011 We will be collected from Le Franschhoek Hotel & Spa at 10:00 AM for a full day tour of the Winelands. We will be dropped off at the hotel at 4:00 PM (cost includes entrance fees and lunch at La Petite Ferme but not drinks. We will be collected from Le Franschhoek Hotel at 6:30 PM and transferred to La Petite Dauphine (boutique winery and fruit farm) for a gourmet braal (that is a barbeque). Transfer back to the hotel after dinner. Overnight at the Le Franschhoek Hotel in a standard room on a Bed & Breakfast basis.
Day # 6 Friday, April 15, 2011 We will be collected from the le Franschhoek Hotel and transferred to Cape Town Airport in time for the flight to Johannesburg. On arrival, we will be met and transferred to the Westcliff Hotel. We will make our own arrangements for the afternoon. We will be picked up and take to Linger Longer for dinner. (includes set menu but not drinks. Transfer back to the hotel afterwards. Overnight at the Westcliff Hotel in a Standard Room on a Bed & Breakfast basis. Day # 7 Saturday, April 16, 2011 We will be collected from the Westcliff Hotel at 9:00 AM for a tour of Johannesburg, Soweto and the Apartheid Museum. Lunch at Wandies Place in Soweto (excluding drinks) Drop off at the hotel at 4:00 PM to freshen up before heading to the Lesedi Cultural Village for a tour followed by dinner and entertainment (includes set menu but not drinks). Transfer back to the hotel Overnight at the Westcliff Hotel in a Standard Room on a Bed & Breakfast basis. Day # 8 Sunday, April 17, 2011 We will be collected from the Westcliff Hotel at 11:00 AM for a shopping tour the guides will ascertain our interests beforehand and then schedule appointments with galleries, jewelry shops, arts and crafts dealers. Lunch at the Famous Butchers Grill. We will be dropped off at Johannesburg Station at 4:00 PM in time for check in for the Premier Classe Train.
