The Olive Schreiner Cottage, named after the famed South African author, is a luxury two-person cottage on Logan Street, offering a bedroom with en-suite bathroom including both a bath and shower, and the classically furnished Schreiner lounge. The Reston Villa has a distinctly Mediterranean atmosphere. Four large suites provide superior accommodation - the ground floor bedrooms have shuttered French doors opening onto their own verandas. The Old Museum Suite is a classic historic cottage on Logan Street, which offers three bedrooms sleeping up to six people, with two bathrooms, each with bath and shower. The Swimming Pool Suite offers two luxury bedrooms, opening onto a private courtyard patio with access to a swimming pool and a wooden terrace. It caters for up to four people, minimum two persons sharing. CONFERENCING & WEDDINGS Matjiesfontein provides a unique setting for any occasion. The old Court House can accommodate a small party or seminar with seating for around 60 guests.

MATJIESFONTEIN CONFERENCES WEDDINGS ACTIVITIES The main car hall in the Transport Museum can accommodate large corporate functions, wedding receptions and large family celebrations in its spacious double-storey interior. The Railway Station Conference Room is ideal for a seminar with seating for around 60 guests. For wedding ceremonies Matjiesfontein has two unique chapels that were built at the turn of the century: the quaint Traveller s Chapel on the river bank within the hotel gardens and the imposing Pink Church a little closer to the Transport Museum. RESTAURANTS The Lord Milner Hotel Dining Room offers a unique and contemporary take on many of South Africa s traditional dishes, including locally sourced Karoo springbok and lamb, paired fine Western Cape wines. Right next door is the Laird's Arms. Enjoy a quiet pint or pub lunch, while hearing tales of the village s history and its (sometimes ghostly) inhabitants. The Coffee House serves home cooked hearty breakfasts, healthy light lunches, and a fine selection of home-baked scones, cakes and koeksisters to accompany a relaxed morning coffee, homemade quencher or afternoon tea, are offered. The original boundaries of the 20,000 hectare property stretched from the village of Clocolan to the west and Gumtree to the east, close to the border of Lesotho. Prynnsberg Estate offers various luxurious accommodation options at three different venues, including the 13o year old main house. Access: Charter from Lanseria: 40 minutes 3hr45 minutes drive from JHB 1hr45 minutes drive from Bloemfontein ACCOMMODATION Prynnsberg Manor, described in architectural circles as the jewel of the Free State, is the historical heart of the estate. Some of the highlights of the house are it s billiard room, glass staircase, Victorian bathhouse, elegant public rooms, antique furnishings, elaborate gardens, Victorian stable block, sandstone swimming pool and an outdoor movie house. The Manor has 8 luxury en suite bedrooms, each with a fireplace and is only available for select private hire with resident chef plus full complement of support staff. The Game Keepers Lodge was part of South Africa s first private game farm. The house, also known as Aran, was built for the original estate game keeper in 1886 and has a spectacular view. The spacious house has two bedrooms (two singles, and one double) and a shared bathroom with working fire places throughout. Prynnsberg s Glamping experience consists of 14 classic colonial era Safari tents supported by the Bushman Cave deck and bathhouse. The tents have wooden floors, Persian carpets, Melvill & Moon campaign furnishings and quality linen throughout. The deck area is suitable for functions throughout the year. We have gas mushroom

For day to day usage we have a top end bluetooth sound system. The campsite is taken as a whole with a minimum booking of 8 tents. CONFERENCING & WEDDINGS The billiard room at the Prynnsberg Manor is an inspirational meeting room for conferences. The other public rooms are perfect for break away sessions. The Manor house is also ideal for executive and VIP accommodation (8 bedrooms). The Glamping site and deck are well suited to accommodate other staff members, and the deck is great for team building and parties. Presentations can be viewed on a massive rock that was hit by lightning, cut in half, and is now a flat stone! The building blocks of a Prynnsberg country wedding include St Saviors church, St Andrews venue, Prynnsberg Manor, Aran, the Bushman deck and Glamping site, the magnificent gardens, the sporting side plus 1200 hectares of estate land to play with. ACTIVITIES The Glamping site overlooks the Bushman valley which is a springboard for activities such as cricket, bicycle polo, archery, clay pigeon shooting, abseiling, 4X4 driving and mountain biking. Prynnsberg is a working farm with herd of quality beef cattle, a Blesbuck herd, a saw mill and polo ponies. Guests are welcome to get involved in the business of the farm.
