Meet your Tour Director at your gate in Toronto. We arrive in Vancouver before noon and meet our coach driver to transfer to your downtown Vancouver hotel. Monday, May 29 th Day 2 Vancouver City Tour and to Cruise Ship This morning we check out of our hotel and board the coach for a step on guided tour of Vancouver including Chinatown, Gastown, Stanley Park, Capilano Suspension Bridge, Grouse Mountain, and the north shore. This afternoon we travel to the cruise terminal to board the Norwegian Sun for your 7-day Alaska Cruise. Have lunch on board the ship and then join us up on top deck for the sail away party at 4:00 pm. Enjoy a five course dinner in the main dining room followed by evening entertainment in the theatre. Tuesday, May 30 th Day 3 Cruise the Inside Passage Marvel at the majestic mountain views and streaming waterfalls as you sail through the Inside Passage of Juneau. Kayak up one of the area's many protected waterways, go flight seeing, tour historic downtown or try your hand at panning for gold. Thursday, June 1 st Day 5 Skagway 7:00 am to 8:15 pm In a single year from 1896 to 1897, this remote town along the Inside Passage grew from a few tents to a city of 20,000 gold seekers. Today, travelers come in search of other riches to experience yesteryear along Skagway's charming boardwalk lined with buildings that replicate those Gold Rush days. Tuesday, June 6 th Day 10 To Kelowna We depart Vancouver and travel east to Kelowna travelling through Surrey, Langley, and Abbotsford. Enjoy the scenery as we move from cityscapes to farmland and lush valleys as the highway follows the Fraser River. We arrive in Kelowna and visit Dirty Laundry in time for an included lunch. A unique winery with a unique history. Later this afternoon we check into the Holiday Inn Express. This evening we enjoy an Evening Dinner Cruise on Okanagan Lake.
Wednesday June 7 th Day 11 To Jasper Today we depart for Jasper travelling through the town of Kamloops and Clearwater towards the resort town of Blue River where we will stop for lunch. After lunch we continue on our scenic journey through the beautiful landscapes of the Monashee and Caribou ranges as well as see the glacier-covered peaks, glistening lakes views of towering Mount Robson, the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies. We arrive in Jasper later in the afternoon. Join us for a Group Dinner in a local restaurant. Thursday, June 8 th Day 12 Touring Jasper This morning we visit the Glacier Discovery Centre and head out on a Columbia Icefield Glacier Adventure to explore the surface of the Athabasca Glacier by Ice Explorer; a massive vehicle specially designed for glacial travel. An experienced driver-guide shares a wealth of fascinating information about glaciers, icefields and their impact on our environment. After our ride, we go to the Glacier Skywalk which is the glass viewing platform suspended 918 feet above Sunwapta Valley. Have a buffet lunch at the Glacier Discovery Centre. This afternoon we will have a boat cruise on Maligne Lake. Maligne Lake is the largest glacially formed and fed lake in the Canadian Rockies and those remnants of the last Ice Age still cling to the cliffs, rest in the cirques and cap off the pinnacles of Maligne Lakes' fabulous ring of 3,360 meter mountains. It is the melt waters of those glaciers that give the lake its' lovely, tranquil-blue colour and that backdrop of lofty peaks which holds back the busy world and provides a calming wilderness experience. Your evening is free to have dinner at a local restaurant and explore downtown Jasper. Friday, June 9 th Day 13 To Canmore We check out of our hotel and depart for Banff. Our first stop will be Athabasca Falls. Feel the spray of the Athabasca River as it thunders into the canyon below. Athabasca Falls in Jasper National Park is not the highest or the widest waterfall in the Canadian Rockies but it is the most powerful. We continue our scenic drive on the Icefields Parkway and stop for picture taking at Peyto Lake, a glacier filled lake located in Banff National Park. After lunch along the way, we stop into Lake Louise to visit the historic Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise. Surrounded by soaring mountain peaks, the majestic Victoria Glacier and a glistening emerald lake, the iconic Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise hotel is located in Alberta's Banff National Park and a great place for a picture of Lake Louise. After our visit, we travel to Canmore for our overnight stay. Enjoy a group dinner at in local restaurant.
Saturday, June 10 th Day 14 Touring Banff This morning we experience a Banff Lake Cruise. This magnificent interpretive lake cruise of Minnewanka and the scenic Canadian Rockies is 1 hour in duration and provides unique photo opportunities unavailable elsewhere. An experienced crew will guide you through this rugged paradise richly steeped in history, native folklore and geology. After lunch in Banff we take a ride to the top of Sulphur Mountain on the Banff Gondola to experience a bird's eye view of six mountain ranges. At the Banff Gondola, you'll see more mountains in a moment than most see in a lifetime. The rest of the day is free to explore on your own. Sunday, June 11 th Day 15 Fly Home This morning we check out of our hotel and depart for Calgary Airport.
