In addition, they are just plain fun! This year, the silent auction will be held on Friday, June 19, 2015, during the OSWA Annual Meeting events at the Seven Feathers Casino Resort, Canyonville, Oregon. There are several things necessary for a successful auction 1) willing bidders with deep pockets, 2) a good variety of items to bid on, and 3) a dedicated group of volunteers to help with organizing the auction. OSWA has been blessed with members and supporters who have donated much over the years and we are relying on all of you to come through again this year! In past years, we asked that each exhibitor and chapter donate two items. In 2013 we raised more than $4000 for OSWA s legislative program. I am hoping that the chapters and exhibitors will once again pitch in, with the same enthusiasm as in the past, and contribute to this enjoyable fund-raising event. We already have donation commitments from some individuals and chapters. I would appreciate hearing from you by the last week in May, although I know that many actual deliveries won t happen until just before the event. If you wish to donate an item to the silent auction or would like more information about the silent auction, please contact Ilene Waldorf at (503) 829-3181 or iwal@molalla.net The actual items can be delivered either directly to me on Friday morning, June 19th, before the meeting begins, or to the OSWA office the week before the annual meeting. OSWA s address is: 187 High Street NE, Suite 208, Salem, OR 97301. If you cannot attend the meeting in person but would like to contribute, please check with your local chapter or the state office to see if one of your neighbors is registered. We ll do our best to make sure your donation is available for bidding. Sincerely, Ilene Waldorf Ilene Waldorf Silent Auction Coordinator, 2015 Thank you for Supporting the Oregon Small Woodlands Association
