IMPORTANT INFORMATION SIGN UP TODAY! This is an overnight camp for youth rising to grades 7-12 in the fall of 2018. This event is hosted by the Camp Paddy Run. Youth group leaders are encouraged to attend! Registrations are honored on a first-come, first-served basis. The last day to register if space is still available is July 19th. What to expect: Camp Paddy Run is a rustic wilderness campground. We will be outdoors a lot!.. But there is no limit to the fun and fellowship we have through games, swim time & recreation, group challenges, meals, and worship. You can also expect 30-60 minutes of travel time on a van to and from our outdoor adventures. Why: Because summer was made for times such as this! What to bring: -Small backpack or tote -Reusable plastic water bottles -Swimsuit. ( T-shirts must be worn with bikinis, ladies! ) -Flashlight -Sleeping bag or bedding, and pillow. -Toiletries and Towel -Medications must be given to the Camp Director -Bug Spray & Sunblock, Hat -Bring clothes suitable for hot summer days as well as cool evenings in the mountains -Sneakers, or hiking boots flip flops, sandals or slides are not recommended for most activities -A second pair of sneakers or water shoes for wearing while on the river - your creativity & sense of humor! What NOT to bring: We highly recommend not bringing electrical devices and valuable items to camp! Camp Paddy Run is not responsible for damaged or missing belongings. This includes laptops, gaming devices, tablets and cell phones. Campers bringing their own cell phones are responsible for them at all times. Staff will have their personal phones available for emergencies at all times. This is a time to unplug and enjoy each other s company, so it s best to leave these valuable items at home! Welcome to bring: Guitar, games or sporting equipment, your personal Bible ( we have several copies available at camp )
IMPORTANT INFORMATION continued Where: Camp Paddy Run is located just 15 minutes from Strasburg, VA off I-81 and heading west on Route 55 to the town of Star Tannery, VA. Directions are available on our website. It is recommend you use the driving directions posted on our website and take exit 296. GPS systems often send drivers the back way through Woodstock up a narrow and winding mountain road! Please also note, the last 1.5 miles is unpaved. Drive with caution! Cost: $120 per camper, which includes all meals and activities. Financial assistance is available for those unable to pay. Churches that bring 4 or more youth bring can bring their youth leader for free! Code of Conduct: Campers are expected to conduct themselves in a Christian manner respecting God, the adult supervisors, one another, and camp property. Behavior not honoring this expectation will NOT be tolerated; this includes inappropriate language, displays of affection, media with explicit content and illegal substances. In the event of a disciplinary issue, you will be asked to pick up your child immediately. Register TODAY! Please mail in the registration form no later than Friday, July 6, OR email a scanned copy of the form no later than Monday, July 9th, and turn in your signed form and registration fee when you arrive at camp.
