2006 2007 2008 2011 TIMELINE YOTEL was conceived when our Founder was upgraded on a BA flight to First Class and saw how it was possible with smart clever design to achieve a luxury feel in a compact space. The team enlisted the help of specialist aircraft cabin designers, Priestman Goode to design and build a prototype cabin. YOTEL opens its first hotels in London s Gatwick and Heathrow Airports. YOTEL opens in Amsterdam Schiphol Airport, the first airside/transit hotel. YOTEL opens its first City hotel in New York, a 713 bedroom hotel with over 15,000 sqft of public space, just west of Times Square
2014 2015 2016 2017 YOTEL announces Airport hotels for Changi (Singapore) and Charles De Gaulle (Paris) and a city centre hotel also in Singapore. IFA H&R takes an active role in expansion strategy with new CEO and management team appointments. YOTEL launches new brand strategy and develops YOTELAIR as a separate brand. YOTEL announces plans to develop hotels in Boston and San Francisco in the US and their first hotel in the Middle East in Dubai. YOTEL announces plans to open in Miami, Brooklyn and Dubai. YOTELAIR opens a 4th hotel in Paris, Charles de Gaulle Airport. YOTEL starts construction on its first city hotel in Europe in Clerkenwell, London. Three new hotels are set to open in 2017, Boston in the Seaport district, Singapore, on Orchard Road and YOTEL s first adaptive re-use project in San Francisco on Market Street.
