Budget accommodation options are often available at Curtin, Narrabundah, Dickson, Watson, and in Queanbeyan. Additional accommodation options with an abundance of dining options further away from Tuggeranong are available in Kingston, Manuka, Civic and Dickson. Please be aware accommodation in Canberra is very tight and often expensive during the weeks the Australian Parliament is sitting in session. Tuggeranong is the Head Office location for several Australian Government health and welfare organisations, including Centrelink, Medicare, and FaCSIA. Regardless of the weeks parliament is sitting, there are numerous public servants travelling to Head Office from the regions causing accommodation options to be limited. Camping - There are caravan parks available in Fyshwick, Queanbeyan and O Connor Ridge. The club is currently considering limited camping on the club s Beginners range for the event. Dining - There are numerous restaurants, clubs, cafes and bars at the Tuggeranong Town Centre less than 2 km from the main range. The Country Comfort Motel is next door to the TVRUC Town Centre Sports Club. Lunches and afternoon refreshment- TVRUC has offered to coordinate all catering and refreshments during the event. Merchandise - Souvenir polo shirts and towels are being arranged and available for ordering before the event. Please refer to the web site for information, sizes and prices. Target Butts - All target butts on the target range are foam butts. Archers are encouraged to adequately lubricate their arrow points and ensure their points are properly glued. Field target butts are plastic and rag filled butts that will be repacked just prior to the event. The Clouts are all dry clouts. Photography - There are numerous photographers known to club members. It is the preference of the club that all photographs taken during the event are made available to competitors for a nominal handling fee. Taxis - Canberra has several Taxi Companies with services that operate 24/7. Public Transport - Tuggeranong Public Bus Interchange is less than 2 km away from the Main Range. Page 3
