Your main luggage will be transferred to your next hotel by our dedicated luggage truck and will be at the hotel on your arrival. Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum Meet with our English speaking guide and transfer to the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park and Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum. A very moving experience Hiroshima is the principal city of the Chugoku Region and home to over a million inhabitants. When the first atomic bomb was dropped over Hiroshima on August 6, 1945, the city became known worldwide for this unenviable distinction. The destructive power of the bomb was tremendous and obliterated nearly everything within a two kilometre radius. After the war, great efforts were taken to rebuild the city. Predictions that the city would be uninhabitable proved false. Destroyed monuments of Hiroshima s historical heritage, like Hiroshima Castle and Shukkeien Garden, were reconstructed. In the centre of the city a large park was built and given a name that would reflect the aspirations of the re-born city: Peace Memorial Park. 17:00 Arrive at the 4* Sheraton Hotel (or similar) and check in for two nights Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park Itsukushima Shrine Sheraton Hotel

Day 15 Thursday 3 October 2019: HIROSHIMA / MIYAMAJIMA ISLAND Miyajima Island Itsukushima Shrine Return ferry crossing 4* Hotel Okura JR Huis Ten Bosch 09:00 Meet with our English speaking guide 10:00 Ferry to Miyajima island (10 mins) Miyajima is a small island less than an hour outside the city of Hiroshima. It is most famous for its giant torii gate, which at high tide seems to float on the water. The sight is ranked as one of Japan s three best views. While officially named Itsukushima, the island is more commonly referred to as Miyajima, Japanese for shrine island. This is because the island is so closely related to its key shrine, Itsukushima Shrine, in the public s mind. Like the torii gate, the shrine s main buildings are built over water. There are wild deer on the island that have become accustomed to people. Everything is within walking distance on the island. 13:00 Return ferry crossing 13:20 Transfer back to hotel Rest of the day at leisure Georgia v Fiji at 14:15 Ireland v Russia at 19:45 Day 16 Friday 4 October 2019: NAGASAKI Check out of hotel Transfer by Bullet train (3 hours) to Nagasaki *Please note that due to space restrictions on all bullet trains, only hand luggage can be bought onto the Bullet train. Your main luggage will be transferred to your next hotel by our dedicated luggage truck and will be at the hotel on your arrival. Arrive at your hotel and check in to the Garden Terrace Nagasaki Hotel (or similar) for two nights Nagasaki Nagasaki is an attractively situated port city on the island of Kyushu and the capital of Nagasaki Prefecture. As one of Japan s closest port cities to the Asian mainland, Nagasaki has played a prominent role in foreign trade relations for many centuries and was the most important of only a very few ports open to restricted numbers of foreign traders during Japan s period of isolation. In more recent history, Nagasaki became the second city after Hiroshima to be destroyed by an atomic bomb towards the end of World War II. Nowadays, Nagasaki is a fascinating city full of culture with a vibrant night life and great restaurants.

Day 16 (Cont.) South Africa v Italy at 18:45 Day 17 Saturday 5 October 2019: NAGASAKI SIGHTSEEING Nagasaki Atomic Bomb Museum Nagasaki Peace Park Hypocentre of Atomic Bombing Glover House & Garden 10:00 Meet with our English speaking guide We have organised a tour lunch today (included in your tour price ex drinks) 16:30 Transfer back to hotel Rest of the day at leisure England v Georgia at 17:00 Japan v play-off winner at 19:30. This Shrine was built on the site of his grave. Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine 4* ANA Crowne Plaza Fukuoka

Day 18 (Cont.) The area surrounding the shrine is lined with numerous shops and restaurants so we have arranged a couple of hours here at your leisure 15:30 Coach departs and transfers you to your Fukuoka hotel 16:00 Check in to the 4* ANA Crowne Plaza (or similar) for two nights Fukuoka (pronounced foo-co-ka) is Kyushu s largest and one of Japan s ten most populated cities. Because of its closeness to the Asian mainland (closer to Seoul than to Tokyo), Fukuoka has been an important harbour city for many centuries and was chosen by the Mongol invasion forces as their landing point in the 13th century. Today s Fukuoka is the product of the fusion of two cities in the year 1889, when the port city of Hakata and the former castle town of Fukuoka were united into one city called Fukuoka. Hakata remains the name of one of Fukuoka s central districts and of the main railway station. France v Tonga at 16:45 Day 19 Monday 7 October 2019: FUKUOKA Day at leisure Day 20 Tuesday 8 October 2019: ODAWARA Cruise on Lake Ashi with great views of Mount Fuji Hakone Cable Car Owakudani 08:30 Check out of hotel 09:00 Coach departs with our English speaking guide for stunning Hakone (1.5 hours) Mount Fuji 5* Hilton Odawara Shizuoka Stadium Ecopa Hakone is part of the Fuji-Hakone-Izu National Park, less than one hundred kilometres from Tokyo. Famous for hot springs, natural beauty and the view across Lake Ashinoko of nearby Mount Fuji, Hakone is one of the most popular destinations among Japanese people looking for a break from Tokyo. Owakudani is the Great Boiling Valley. It is a volcanic valley with active sulphur vents and hot springs with Mount Fuji clearly visible in the background. Try the Kuro-tamago black egg a local specialty of eggs hard-boiled in the hot springs. The boiled eggs turn black and smell slightly sulphuric; consuming the eggs is said to add seven years to your life. You may eat up to two and a half for up to seventeen and a half years, but eating a whole third is said to be highly inadvisable! Super views of Mount Fuji at Owakudani. After your cruise and before the cable car ride we have organised a tour lunch today (included in your tour price ex drinks) 17:00 Check into the 5* Hilton Odawara (or similar) for three nights South Africa v Repechage winner at 19:15
