Welcome to Butlin s We have been hosting school residential groups for over 50 years, continuing the ethos set by our founder, Sir Billy Butlin. He believed that all children should be able to experience the fun of the British Seaside, especially those from the inner cities. Over the last decade, we have invested over 200 million in our resorts. We ve carefully created a range of activities and experiences that balance fun with learning, in-line with the national curriculum. From sunrise to sunset, children will enjoy a time table that includes a range of indoor and outdoor modules to focus on developing practical skills, building self-confidence and challenging themselves mentally and physically. All activities are delivered in a safe environment and led by our experienced and qualified team who will support and encourage each child to be the best they can be. The Butlin s Experience Butlin s is a place like no other and when your school group aren t having fun learning, they have a whole resort of excitement to enjoy. Our resorts are found next to some of Britain s prettiest beaches and we believe a beautiful ocean, fresh sea air and plenty of space to play are the essential ingredients of a school residential trip. Each host our famous fun-filled Skyline Pavilions, Traditional Fairgrounds and indoor tropical waterworlds. After a busy day of activities your pupils will have access to a unique world of experiences, live shows and places to eat, shop and play. 3 DAYS 175 Their home from home We understand getting a good night s sleep and eating healthy food are an important part of any school trip away. Our comfy rooms offer a great space for children to relax and feel completely at home after a busy day of activities. And our dedicated team of chefs have developed carefully balanced menus with healthy options getting their 5-a-day shouldn t stop whilst they re away! SOMEWHERE TO STAY Our two and three-bedroom Silver Rooms are bright and airy and well-equipped, similar in style to a hotel room. All rooms are grouped and located together in the same village and fitted with central heating, bed linen and en-suite facilities. EAT TOGETHER AND EAT WELL Our restaurant is buffet-style so even the fussiest of eaters will be easily pleased. There s a new menu every day, offering excellent quality and healthy family favourites including healthy salads to hearty British classics. And for afters? Our much-loved ice cream factory or a mouth-watering selection of hot and cold puddings really goes down a treat. GOOD TO KNOW We provide three hot meals a day, but for days when you re out and about our chefs can provide you with a packed lunch just let us know!
Our team are at the heart of your school trip and we take our responsibilities very seriously. That s why we only recruit experienced and qualified instructors who are on hand to ensure you have the best time and relax in the knowledge that your pupils are happy and safe. SMALLER GROUPS Experienced team HEALTH & SAFETY OUR INSTRUCTORS 5 DAYS 292 Each group of 12 pupils have the same qualified instructor throughout their stay to provide consistency and reinforce relationships. You can rest assured that we work closely with experts to ensure we are fully compliant with all health and safety regulations. Our resorts have manned entrances, exits and a fully qualified health and safety team on-site at all times. We only recruit experienced and qualified team members and all of our instructors hold the National Governing Body Awards as a minimum qualification and are DBS checked. Instructors will focus on assisting pupils with learning outcomes, including working as a team, recognising achievements, listening and acting on instructions, improving understanding of the outdoors, taking on challenges and achieving goals.
How to Book It s really important to us that your school group has a personalised Butlin s experience. From start to finish everything should be completely stress-free. We know that you ll probably have a few more questions, so our friendly and knowledgeable trip co-ordinators are on hand to help and provide advice every step of the way.
