Peace Marathon Košice The Košice Peace Marathon is the oldest marathon in Europe and the third-oldest in the world (after the Boston Marathon and the Yonkers Marathon). The first course was held in 1924. The marathon takes place each year on the first October Sunday.
Celebrations day of Košice Košice City Day The beginning of May has a celebratory spirit during Košice Day. On this day, the city of Košice commemorates being awarded the first European town coat of arms by Emperor Louis the Great on 7 May 1369. The celebration is literally full of large and small events for the wide public and families with children.
White night Experience night walk in the city's streets with artistic play of light and music. Since 2010, Košice White Night, with its quality and uniqueness, has become one of the most significant, the largest and the most visited artistic events not only in Košice but also in Slovakia. In agreement with Paris, White Night always takes place on the first Saturday in October which for Košice means the eve of the International Peace Marathon.
