Day 1 INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT MANAGUA Visit the most important sites in Managua. Day 2 MANAGUA SAN JUAN DEL SUR LA FLOR BEACH Travel to the Pacific town of San Juan del Sur. From the highest point in town enjoy the 360 degree view over the bay and ocean. Visit Playa La Flor, a nature sanctuary best know as a haven where the Paslama turtles come to lay their eggs. Day 3 SAN JUAN DEL SUR OMETEPE ISLAND Take the ferry to the island of Ometepe, a unique island formed by two volcanoes. Swim in the clear and fresh water of the natural pool, Ojo de Agua. Learn about the history of the island, explore the natural reserve of Charco Verde and enjoy the afternoon at Playa Santo Domingo. Day 4 OMETEPE CHOCOLATE FARM GRANADA See the breathtaking views from Punta Jesus Maria. Then return to the mainland to experience making your own chocolate at Nicaragua Libre, a sustainable community farm. Explore the colonial city of Granada, the oldest city in the country, and its rich historical past and distinctive architecture. Day 5 GRANADA MOMBACHO VOLCANO ISLETAS GRANADA Drive up to Mombacho Volcano and admire the landscape from the highest point in the region. Covered by cloud forests, it has luxurious fauna and flora and you may see some tropical surprises. Then get on board for a trip around the Isletas of Lake Nicaragua, 365 islands with their own exuberant nature, such as its impressive collection of water birds and colonies of monkeys. Day 6 GRANADA CATARINA & SAN JUAN DE ORIENTE LAGUNA DE APOYO MASAYA LEÓN Start the day by gazing into the heart of Mother Nature at Masaya s Volcano National Park. It s one of the most impressive active volcanoes of the Pacific Ring of Fire. Then pass through the cultural towns of Masay,a with it colorful market, San Juan de Oriente, a town renowned for its traditional ceramic craft and Catarina, the town of a thousand flowers overlooking Laguna de Apoyo, a wonderful crater lake. End the day in the colonial city of Léon, home of the Sandinista Revolution.
Day 7 LÉON CERRO NEGRO LEÓN Discover the vibrant city of Léon, the Museum of the revolution, art galleries and the colorful colonial architecture of its city center. Hike up Cerro Negro for a magnificent panorama of the region. Craving a little more excitement try your hand at sand-boarding, adrenaline guaranteed! Day 8 LEÓN JUAN VENADO RESERVE LAS PEÑITAS Drive to Las Peñitas and visit the reserve of Juan Venado to admire the spectacular mangroves, home to thousands of birds and crocodiles. Enjoy the sunset over the Pacific!! Day 9 LAS PEÑITAS SOMOTO CANYON ESTELÍ Let s go canyoning in the wild waters of Somoto! This protected park features an impressive river gliding through picturesque mountains. Off-road! Day 10 ESTELÍ MATAGALPA Visit a cigar factory, where a variety of Cuban-quality cigars are produced. Then we will travel to the coffee capital of Nicaragua and stay in a beautiful lodge nestled in the mountains.
