About The Meeting This symposium provides an up-to-date clinical review of gynecology with a focus on ultrasound imaging. Topics include diagnosis and management of common gynecological conditions including ultrasound evaluation of abnormal uterine bleeding, early pregnancy, adnexal masses, fibroids and endometriosis. Advanced imaging techniques include sonohysterography, 3D and Doppler applications. The program concludes with a look into modern liability issues in gynecology practice, and risk management strategies. Interactive question and answer sessions, case reviews, tips, images, and pitfalls provide balance to the program. Target Audience This program is designed for obstetricians and gynecologists, radiologists, family medicine physicians, nurse practitioners, midwives and sonographers, who order, perform and interpret ultrasound examinations in gynecology. The goal of this educational activity is to bring the level of practice for the health practitioners to a higher degree of proficiency in gynecologic sonography. Educational Objectives Attendees should, at the completion of this course, be able to: Discuss contemporary diagnostic, management and imaging evaluation of abnormal uterine bleeding and fibroids. Explain the concepts of 3D and Doppler ultrasound applications in gynecology. No special educational preparation is required for this CME activity. Utilize ultrasound to assess patients with adnexal masses and endometriosis. Review liabilities associated with gynecologic ultrasound. Adapt a risk management plan to clinical practice.
