April 18, 2018 Dear Conference Attendees: On behalf of the local host planning committee, welcome to the Sixth Annual California Passenger Rail Summit! Looking back over the last five summits, much has been accomplished continued ridership growth on our three state-supported intercity passenger rail corridors, a successful transition to local management of the LOSSAN and San Joaquin Corridors, construction progress of the nation s premier high-speed passenger rail system, expansion of our urban rail systems, and passage of Senate Bill 1 and local transportation funding measures. But now is not a time to rest more hard work is needed to ensure that transportation promises made are promises kept. During the conference, speakers will address the important issues facing passenger rail development and the growing needs of California. As in past summits, the latest equipment will be on display and technical tours will provide you with opportunities to experience first hand, successful transportation infrastructure projects and take a behind the scenes tour of historic Los Angeles Union Station. Thank you for being a part of this year s summit. Linda Culp Conference Co-Chairs Robert Manning
