PBG PACKAGED GAS BURNER SELECTION GUIDE SUPPLEMENTAL DATA DRYER/OVEN CONSIDERATIONS Selection of a specific combustor tube or refractory tile for a PBG Packaged Burner is dependent upon the specific dryer/oven application. Temperature considerations are presented below: Oven Temperature Model No. Combustor Min. Max. Straight Tube N/A 1850 F (1010 C) All Sizes Elbow Tube N/A 1300 F (704 C) Refractory Tile 900 F (482 C) 2300 F (1260 C) For applications where the air flow perpendicular to the exit of the burner is greater than 2000 ft/min (610m/sec), Hauck recommends use of the elbow combustor tube firing in the same direction as the air flow. The PBG Packaged Burner is designed to operate in a dryer/oven within a differencial pressure range of -0.5 to +2"wc (-120 to +500Pa). For dryer/oven applications operating outside this range, special considerations must be taken. For example, a dryer/oven draft greater than -2"wc (-500Pa) requires special air inlet controls to ensure proper burner operation. Consult Hauck if any such special dryer/oven conditions exist for your particular application. BURNER SELECTION Hauck PBG Package Burners are available in three configurations. The basic burner, the configurable burner and the custom engineered burner. Standard pricing applies to the basic burner and configurable burner. Use the following guide for proper selection of the respective configuration. BASIC BURNER Consists of burner assembly with spark igniter, straight tube combustor, blower, gas ratio regulator, fixed high fire gas orifice, adjustable low fire bypass and flame rod. If a burner with alterations from this is desired, select configuration two or three depending on application requirements. Natural gas or propane gas must be specified.
