The guided tour of Orvieto includes entrance to the stunning Cathedral. A tour escort will accompany the group from/to Fonteverde. There will also be ample time for leisure and shopping. Discover Val d'orcia, a scenic area in southern Tuscany, world-renowned for its dramatic landscapes, wines (Nobile di Montepulciano), olive oil and cheese (Pecorino di Pienza). The experience includes transportation and tour escrort from/to Fonteverde. The tour begins with arrival in Pienza, a town known for its 15 th Century Renaissance architecture and monuments within its Piazza Pio II. Next the tour continues to the town of Montepulciano, known for its Nobile wine, and considered the Pearl of the Renaissance. Visit the Piazza Grande, which sits on the highest point of the town, offering stunning views below. The Piazza is home to Montepulciano s cathedral and palaces, as well as cozy cafes, wine-tasting rooms, and shops. Guests will have sufficient free time for lunch and shopping in Montepulciano.
