Event Overview Mayor Steven M. Fulop is proud to bring back the Jersey City Freedom & Fireworks Festival for the fifth year. The all-day event draws more than 150,000 revelers from all across the region. This Independence Day celebration is the largest in the state, boasting live music, activities and fare for families of all sizes.» Date: Wednesday, July 4, 2018.» Time: 12 to 10 PM.» Location: Exchange Place, Jersey City, NJ; with easy access to the PATH, Light Rail and New York Waterway.» Amenities: Sweeping views of the Hudson River waterfront & New York City. Stunning illuminations of color and fanfare over the River by the legendary Fireworks by Grucci, Inc. Live music on two stages featuring more than a dozen bands, including an exciting headliner (TBD). Carnival rides & family activities. More than two dozen food trucks and stands, plus an outdoor cocktail lounge / beer garden.

2017 Highlights Fireworks Extravaganza: A breathtaking pyrotechnic display by Fireworks by Grucci, Inc. was performed from a barge in the Hudson River. Grucci is known as the First Family of Fireworks and holds the Guinness World Record for the largest fireworks display ever recorded. The 4 th of July fireworks display is choreographed to music, which Festival attendees can download via a smart phone app.

2018 Stages & Tents established and up-and-coming talent alike showcase exciting, high-energy performances during the Festival. The Main Stage is the front-and-center location for bands and Mayor Fulop s Independence Day speech to the crowd. The Carnival stage also features music and dance performances. Both stages are available for sponsorship, which includes logo placement. The Hospitality Tent is a special area where the Mayor, Council Members and other City and State dignitaries gather to enjoy the day s festivities. This location is also available for sponsorship, which may include customized branding experiences, such as a cooling zone, etc.
