TOURISM DATA In the period between 2012 and 2016 revenues from tourism increased by 25%, number of tourists by 26% and number of overnights by 22.9%. 2017 THE BEST TOURISM YEAR Preliminary data for 2017 the total number of tourist arrivals in 2017 was 1,999,502 and 11,952,567 overnights. According to the preliminary data of the Central Bank of Montenegro and MONSTAT estimated tourism revenues for the period January- November 2017 amounted to 956,819.660,50 EUR.

WORLD TRAVEL & TOURISM COUNCIL KEY INDICATORS (2017 annual research ranking 185 countries) GDP: Direct contribution of travel&tourism - 11% of the total GDP in 2016, forecast to rise by 6.7% in 2017, and to rise by 6.1% in the next 10-year period. Employment: Direct contribution of travel & tourism 6.5% of total employment in 2016, forecast to rise by 5.8% in 2017 and rise by 3.5% in the next 10-year period (estimated share 9.1% of total employment in 2027 or 18.000 jobs). Investment: 34% of total investments in 2016, forecast to rise by 7.6% in 2017 and rise by 6.9% in the next 10-year period to 551.5 mn in 2027. or 51.5% of total investment). BUSINESS ENVIROMENT Montenegro holds the leading position in the region when it comes to the amount of foreign investments "per capita capital from more than 100 countries worldwide; Introduced fiscal and other incentives Foreign investors have national treatment; competitive tax system; tax on corporate profit - 9%; tax on personal income - 9%; tax on real estate transfer 3%; free flow of capital ESPECIALLY important for hotel industry: VAT is 21% and reduced VAT of 7% is applied to hotel accomodation services; VAT of 0% is applied for all products and services delivered for Construction and equipping of hotels with 5 and more stars; Real estate tax is reduced 30-70% for hospitality facilities of a 4+ category operating during the all year; Membership in WB, IM, WTO and EBRD; Adoption of a number of laws that are harmonised with EU standards; Since 1th January 2018 reduced VAT is applied also on services of preparing and serving food and beverages in hotels with at least 4* in the Northern region and with at least 5* in the Central and Coastal region.

REASONS TO INVEST IN MONTENEGRO Political and economic stability; Planning preconditions for valorizing a number of attractive locations in the South and the North of Montenegro; Favourable investment environment with incentives for hotel industry; Good price of property; Wide range of natural and cultural resources that could be valorized and in function of tourism; Privatization plan for 2018 is in preparation and it through it will be recognized new attractive locations on which it will be enabled tourism valorization; GOOD OPPORTUNITIES FOR INVESTORS: The Bjelasica and Komovi Plan anticipates 7 winter resorts in the region and an Eco Adventure Park; The Durmitor Region Plan anticipates a highend winter ski resort to offer a series of activities for relaxation and recreation in a manner which is conceptually, aesthetically, functionally and environmentally in balance and harmony with the natural beauties and ecological richness of this location

PROJECTS IN MONTENEGRO

New hotel offer In the period between 2012 and 2016, Montenegro improved its tourist offer with 57 new 4-star and 5- star hotels (nearly 5,000 new beds) and with 22 more 4-star and 5-star hotels (1,081 beds) in 2017. 2016th - 26 opinions were given on the technical documentation for hotels 4 and 5 stars (9 for 5* hotels and 17 for 4* hotels); So far, 22 building permits were issued; The total estimated cost of works is approx. 109.278.454,33. The total number of accommodation units is 1.408 or 3.187 beds. 2017th - 42 opinions were given on technical documentation for 4 and 5 star hotels (24 for 5* and 18 for 4*hotels). So far, 21 building permits were issued; The total estimated cost of works is approx. 245.104.558,00. The total number of accommodation units is 1.474 with 3.343 beds.

20 ski slopes on the surface of 116.3 ha 1.184 beds in hotels and similar accomodation

Hotel investments in the North Starwood group in Montenegro - hotel Four points by Sheraton Kolašin - 4-star; 72 accomodation units and 141 beds, additional facilities; Hotel Westin - high class hotel, should be located at the foot of the ski resort Kolašin 1450 ; opening planned for 2022. Hotel Berane Berane 4-star; 34 accommodation units and 75 beds, with additional facilities; Hotel Durmitor Žabljak was sold to the company "Adriatic Properties" (manage Amman risorts on Sveti Stefan, Villa Miločer and hotel Maestral in Przno). The investment is planned to be realized within 3 years in the amount of 10 million EUR. Hotel Jezera Žabljak an annex of the Agreement was signed with the obligation of the investor to bring the hotel to the level of 4-stars and within 5 years invested 3,259,974.34 EUR.
