JUST LOOK AT ALL WE OFFER Our camp day is scheduled with age-appropriate activities from 9am 4pm Monday through Friday. Plus! We re open for before and after care from 7am 9am and 4pm 6pm. That s 11 hours of care daily! And we offer campers an in-house or traveling field trip as well as a t-shirt! SIBLING SAVINGS = For Each Additional Child in Camp, Save $100! With our sibling savings option, you save more for each additional child you send gether camp. For each additional child who attends camp, you save $10 a week! SATURDAY, JUNE 16 5 7pm Meet Your Child s Counselors Meet and interact with your child s counselors! Learn all about each counselor s skills and abilities. Enjoy fun meet and greet events. Your child will feel at ease well before camp starts! THURSDAY, JUNE 21 6 7pm Safety and Staffing: A Winning Combo! Our day camps meet the highest health and safety standards of the YMCA and the NYS Health Department. Camps are inspected twice each year by the Department of Health and files are available for inspection at your county health department office. Our hand-picked staff are trained in First Aid, CPR, pool safety, heat and sun safety, age-appropriate activities, conflict resolution, rainy day play and more! Staff training includes almost 30 hours before camp begins. Camper Safety For the safety of all the children in our care, all campers need follow appropriate standards of conduct. A camper who infringes on the rights of others may be removed from camp. Phos and Videos To help share the fun of summer camp, YMCA staff use phographs and videos that feature children from our camps for promotional materials. Refunds We cannot refund the cost of camp for the voluntary withdrawal of a camper due illness, vacation, or other absence (temporary or permanent), or for the dismissal of a camper. JUNE 16 & 21
OUR PROGRAMS Building Confident Children PRE-SCHOOL CAMP 5-Days Ages 3 and 4 9:30am 12:30pm Weeks 1 8 Let us help your little one gain independence and learn cooperation skills through fun activities that promote early literacy, and help develop mor skills. We lead pre-schoolers through games, crafts, sry time and more. (Children need be potty trained, please.) HELDEBERG HALF DAY CAMP Grades 1 6 Weeks 3 8 Children who attend the Heldeberg Half Day camp are welcome register for before and after-camp care at the Y! Children co-registered at Heldeberg are welcome attend morning care and then take the bus Heldeberg. Campers return the Y around lunch time. ADDITIONAL OPTIONS: With Field Trip Join the YMCA Day camp for the full day and attend the weekly field trip (Field trips for 2nd Grade & up). This option is open all full-day campers. Attend Camp Half Day Campers who attend Heldeberg in the morning are welcome join us for camp in the afternoon. Please note that during field trip days, the YMCA is only able provide bus sp service. DAY CAMP Entering Grades 1 6 Let us help your child build confidence while enjoying a variety of engaging and fun programs and activities. We encourage your child develop independence while learning new skills. Campers also enjoy swimming, sports, art, and special events. We focus on activities that encourage physical involvement, social interaction, educational opportunities, leadership building, personal growth and creativity. Campers are divided in groups by the grade they re entering in the fall, with activities appropriate the interests and needs of each group. Each week has a fun theme and includes a fun experience or field trip. KINDERGARTEN (K) CAMP Entering Kindergarten Designed for children preparing enter Kindergarten, our K Camp gives young campers a full day camp experience dedicated their imagination and sense of wonder with shorter activity blocks, transitional games and added staff engage and care for your camper. DOOR TO DOOR SERVICE FOR SWIM LESSONS! During camp, your child is welcome also sign up for swim lessons and other programs that take place at the Bethlehem Y. Simply let us know which program(s) your child is signed up for, such as swim lessons, and our staff will make sure your child is safely escorted and from that program. To ensure that we have staff coverage, programs need run between 10am 6pm, please. Simply let us know the week before camp begins which program(s) your child is taking and we ll handle the rest. AT YOUR YMCA BRANCH, kiosks will be available for you complete your child s registration. Staff will also be available for assistance. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION/APPROVALS: Upon registration, you will receive an email from CampDoc.com requesting medical information, immunization records, emergency contacts and authorized pickups, as well as approve medical emergency, pho/video permission, activities, and sunscreen release forms. This is all completed online.
TEEN PROGRAMS For Our Future Leaders LEADER-IN-TRAINING (LIT) PROGRAM Grades 7 8 Let us help your child develop sound decision making skills by providing challenging and fun character building experiences. LITs enjoy all the fun of camp: swim lessons, games, sports, crafts, community service projects, field trips and more! LIT s need participate in an orientation prior beginning camp. Saturday, June 23 9am 12pm JUNE 23 Parents/Guardians attend an informational meeting (9 10am) and teens enjoy time gether for their orientation, through 12pm. Lunch will be provided. This program includes an extra weekly field trip as part of the LIT program. Experience as a CIT helps teens grow as leaders by participating in skill building activities. The program helps teens learn how cooperate, communicate and work gether as a team. It s an opportunity for teens grow within a supportive environment and gather the ols they need become successful and confident members of a community. CIT s need participate in an orientation prior beginning camp Saturday, June 23 11am 2pm Parent/Guardians attend an informational meeting (1 2pm). Lunch will be provided. OVERNIGHT CAMP FUN! HOLLYWOOD WEEK Whether it s singing, performing, inventions or magic, we ve got the space celebrate each camper s talents! Each camper receives a camp T-shirt. For the safety of your child, we ask that all campers wear their camp T-shirt on field trip days.
