Moorsbus makes it easier to explore the area without the need for a car. This helps keep the moors a special and more enjoyable place now and for future generations. Moorsbus tickets offer all day travel and can be bought on the bus - no need to book - just turn up and pay the driver. You ll recognise a Moorsbus by the yellow and green triangle displayed in the windscreen. Moorsbus uses normal bus stops in towns and villages, and in the countryside you can hail the bus. Please wait in a safe place where the approaching bus driver can see you (avoid waiting near a corner or hill) and give the driver a clear signal to stop (you could hold out your Moorsbus timetable!). Moorsbus drivers will stop wherever it is safe to do so. MOORSBUS TICKETS All day, Inner Zone only All day, Inner & Outer Zones Per person 4 7 Family ticket (up to 2 adults + 3 children) 8 14 Look out for our great value books of all day Moorsbus tickets ideal for regular travellers or those visiting the area and intending to use the Moorsbus Network for a few days. These can be purchased from our Centres at Danby and Sutton Bank or from the National Park offices at Helmsley (see address on page 46). Children under 5 travel free See map at back of timetable for zone boundaries North Yorkshire Concessionary Fares Scheme - Pass holders are entitled to free travel within North Yorkshire. How to plan your journey Firstly, identify the day you wish to travel from the Calendar below. Note the colour on your chosen date. Now refer to the colour key, which identifies the Moorsbus services operating on your chosen date. If you know where you want to travel to, go directly to the bus service timetable page to choose your journey time (bus services listed on page 2). Please read the notes adjacent to each timetable as these highlight important variations to service, through connections, and other information about your bus and journey. If you need some guidance, the Network Map at the back of this timetable may help you locate which bus service you need. The colours on the Network Map are the same as those on the individual timetable pages. If you re still unsure Moorsbus Co-ordinators are there to help with journey planning and timetable queries, as well as offering ideas for your day out. Co-ordinators are normally based in Helmsley and Thornton le Dale (on dates identified as Red and Blue on the calendar) but may be mobile at other locations on the Moorsbus Network. Telephone Moorsbus Enquiries on: 01845 597 000 (10 am 5 pm). Let us do the work - Days Out journey planner leaflets are available please see back page of this timetable for further details. Guisborough W.C.
