Classic Andalusia -6 Days- Seville, Cordoba,Granada: its magic beauty has become the image of Spain abroad. DAY 1 MALAGA Airport Directly departure to Granada (arrival in about 100 minutes). GRANADA Overnight at the hotel DAY 2 GRANADA Breakfast and overnight at hotel. Morning, we suggest to visit La Alhambra, the best example of the sophisticated Royal life in the Nazari Islamic kingdom in the XIVth century. We will find numerous halls and "patios" (courtyards) of amazing beauty. We will also visit the famous and beautiful Generalife gardens with its fountains. Afternoon we will have time to the Royal Chapel and Cathedral. DAY 3 GRANADA Breakfast CORDOBA The town was important in the Roman age, but during the Moslem period specially the IX and Xth centuries, when Cordoba became the capital of the Caliphate and the most populated in the world (almost 1 million). Morning we suggest to visit the Mosque, considered the nicest among the historical mosques. Then a walk around the Jewish Quarter, with its fresh narrow streets and Andalusia "patios", where we will find one of the few perfectly preserved Synagogues in Spain. SEVILLA Overnight at hotel DAY 4 SEVILLA Breakfast and overnight at hotel. Morning we suggest to visit inside the Gothic Cathedral, the largest in Spain and third in the world, with the Giralda tower (striking minaret of the former mosque). Then a walk by Santa Cruz Quarter, a maze of small alleys with colorful names stepped in legend and small squares with the peacefulness of a tiny garden is an invitation to rest. Afternoon a walk in the Maria Luisa Gardens with the monumental Plaza de España is a delight. DAY 5 SEVILLA Breakfast. JEREZ We suggest to visit a sherry wine cellar with a taste. Sherry is the best well known Spanish wine abroad, and great part of the local economy is related to the production of this world-famous. Departure along the ROUTE OF THE WHITE VILLAGES (Arcos de la Frontera, Grazalema,...). All in this mountainous area was part of the warlike border between the Christian and the Muslim kingdoms for more than 3 centuries (XIII to XVth). This fact that conditioned its physiognomy: Castle over the hill, and down in the hill side, the bright white houses with narrow and labyrinth streets. The route is full of fantastic panoramic sights. RONDA In an impressive location, a sheer cleft of over 300 ft. called El Tajo splits the town. Time to visit the bullring, built in 1784, all stone itself, which is the eldest and nicest in Spain. HOTEL VEREDA REAL **** This luxurious hotel is situated in a garden full of very old trees, but hidden away there is also a swimming pool and tennis court, pelota court, and French bowls. The Cortijo has three buildings, the main building with 18 double rooms and suites. All the bedrooms are equipped with a fireplace or wood burning stove, air conditioning, heating, television, telephone, minibar and full heated bathroom. The common areas (with fireplaces for chilly evenings) include a bar with games room, a private restaurant, an Andalusian kitchen, a barbecue, and cellar. The hotel is situated near the Montes de Malaga Natural Par, 30 minutes from the airport. The hotel is 800 metres above sea level, and has beautiful views to the sea and the valley. Many golf courses are also in the region. This is a perfect spot for those who enjoy walking, bird watching and outdoor activities. Hotel Puerta de la Luna is in the centre of Baeza, just a few steps from the cathedral. Baeza has been declared a Patrimonio de la Humanidad town, and is a wonderfully historic town full of plazas, palaces, monuments and labyrinth of small interesting streets.. The Palace has been skilfully renovated and transformed into a small hotel, complete with air conditioning and all modern amenities. The hotel has forty four double rooms and suites in three different buildings around a courtyard. Each room has a different and unique personality, and all with complete bathrooms. Attention has been paid to the smallest detail. There is a delightful restaurant and bar, and the hotel has its own outdoor swimming pool and spa facilities (extra charge for spa usage). There is also limited parking available at the back of the hotel (for fifteen cars) but public parking is also available nearby. You need to book parking at the same time as making your reservation. Hotel Vereda real is surrounded by olive trees and situated on the outskirts of Seville, 7 km (20 minutes) from the city center. It is inside a traditional mansion with a typical Andalusian courtyard, following the style of the rural countryside palaces in Andalucia ( Cortijos). The rooms are spacious and equipped with satellite TV, safe and minibar. There is also a library, meeting rooms, restaurant and outdoor pool. HOTEL FINCA ESLAVA **** This beautifully restored 15th century manor house is located in a quiet area close to Arcos de la Frontera, a historic white village. It consists of a classical Andalusian Cortijo with a whitewashed façade, a grand portal and a central courtyard. The hotel enjoys views over the Arcos lake. In the public areas details from the Islamic and Andalusian cultures come together. Each guestroom is decorated uniquely with tasteful fabrics, lovely old beds and terracotta floors. Peace and tranquillity are assured. There are some ancient and valuable artefacts on display from the 17th Century that were originally found on the site during renovations. Guests will appreciate the attentive and personal service. and will enjoy swimming in its garden pool when the temperature rises.. The Hacienda is located 2km from Arcos de la Frontera. This inn is unsuitable for small children. The Hotel Finca Eslava is a hotel situated in an ancient Andalusian Cortijo of the 18th Century.
