SECURITY INDUSTRY MET AT ISAF FOR THE 19 th TIME ISAF EXHIBITION ORGANIZED ON 17 th -20 th SEPTEMBER 2015 BROUGHT TOGETHER THE SECURITY SECTOR AGAIN International ISAF Exhibitions, the Only Exhibition of security technologies in the region, closed 2015 to host its visitors next year again, after an organization with the high number of exhibitors, extensive product showcases and exciting events. It was observed during the fair that there was a significant business volume and high number of business activities and the surveys and interviews indicated that exhibitors and visitors are satisfied with the organization of exhibition and left the exhibition happy thanks to the trade collaborations they established. A Brand in the Security Sector: ISAF Serving as a giant meeting platform for the security industry and taking steps to become a big brand with its influence and dominance in the region, International ISAF Exhibitions were held on 17 th - 20 th of September at the halls 9-10-11 of Istanbul Expo Center under three sections, namely 19 th International ISAF Security Exhibition, 4 th International IT Security Exhibition and 4 th International Smart Home Exhibitions. Covering all kinds of security-related products and technologies, the International ISAF Exhibitions were organized to expand the scope of exhibition under certain sub-areas such as security systems, IT security and smart home automation systems and to provide benefit for various stakeholders in the market such as buyers, sellers, distributors, integrators and end-users thanks to specific product display. Making a difference in the industry by raising the awareness of visitors through training seminars, conferences and panel discussions besides exciting events such as stand shows, performances and surprise gift draws, the International ISAF Exhibitions hosted a total of 275 exhibitors this year during the Security, IT Security and Smart Home Exhibitions and exhibitors hired a total net space of 9,341 sqm, being 7,936 sqm at ISAF Security, 579 sqm at Smart Home and 826 sqm at Smart Home. THREE HALLS & THREE EXHIBITIONS ISAF 2015 Hosting the largest gathering of region as a festival of security industry, the International ISAF Exhibitions achieved success in 2015 just like every other year. The ISAF Exhibitions witnessed a giant meeting with local and foreign leading exhibitors from around the world and was organized on a greater space with larger and more halls allocated to the organization for higher number of exhibitors in 2015. As it is organized for the 19th time, the ISAF Exhibitions have developed into a traditional organization by proving its consistency in the industry and showed its strength by reserving all three halls in 2015. Also, the organization reached the targeted increases in number of exhibitors and exhibition space and closing statistics should be underlined for this year as they promise more growth in upcoming years. COMPARISON OF 2014 AND 2015 One of the most important increases compared with 2014 was observed in the number of exhibitors. This year, the International ISAF Exhibitions hosted a total of 275 exhibitors at Security, IT Security and Smart Home Exhibitions, which was 209 last year. Total net space that was allocated to the exhibitors of ISAF Exhibitions in 2014 was 7,639 square meters. However, in 2015, the space hired by exhibitors at ISAF Security alone was 7,936 sqm and it was 579 sqm at Smart Home and 826 sqm at IT Security. Thus a total net space of 9,341 square meters was hired by the exhibitors in 2015. Besides the increase in number of exhibitors and exhibition space, the ISAF Exhibitions witnessed an increase in number of visitors, attracting 16,748 visitors this year. Majority of visitors were from Turkey, while there were international visitors from various regions of the world. Most of the international visitors were mainly from Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, China, Cyprus, Germany, Greece, Iran, Iraq, Italy, Lebanon, Libya, the Netherlands, Saudi Arabia, Taiwan, Tunisia, and the US. Accordingly, visitors from 5 different continents, including North America, Africa, Asia, Europe and South America, visited the ISAF Exhibitions in 2015. EXTENSIVE EXHIBITION PROGRAM & THREE MAIN EVENTS Organized at the halls 9-10-11 of Istanbul Expo Center in five main sections in previous years, the International ISAF Exhibitions had its SECURITY exhibition organized in the same place this year thanks to its consistent growth figures. In addition to the Security Exhibition, there were Smart Home and IT Security exhibitions as part of the organization, which caused an excitement with many shows and surprise gifts as well as various events such as training seminars and conferences. 4 th Security Conference, IT Security Conference and Smart Buildings Conference which were organized at the same time with the 19 th International ISAF Security Exhibition, 4 th International IT Security Exhibition and 4 th International Smart Home Exhibition, the three main exhibitions organized by, attracted great interest of exhibition visitors and relevant parties. 4 th SECURITY CONFERENCE Developing into a traditional discussion platform of the industry by bringing security industry together every year as a one and only conference in its field, the Security Conference was held for the 4 th time on October 18 th, 2015. Organized at the same time with the ISAF Security Exhibition, the Security Conference aimed to contribute to the development of security industry with the speeches, presentations and discussions of leading figures from the security industry and public administration. The 4th Security Conference was organized under two important headings, namely Sports and Transport Security and managed to bring relevant individuals and specialists from the industry. 4 th IT SECURITY CONFERENCE Organized as part of the 4 th IT Security Exhibition where information and data are the safest, the IT Security Conference staged a great gathering in the industry by bringing leading names of the industry together. Being the only conference in the field of Information Technologies, the IT Security Conference hosted many important names from public and private sectors, including Emine Yazici Altintas, Head of IT Department, Cyber Security - Ministry of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications, and Nihat Sumer, Vice President, Information and Communication Technologies Authority. Held at the 11 th Hall of Istanbul Expo Center on 18 th 19 th September, 2015, the IT Security Conference advanced with the participation of important non-governmental organizations as well as representatives of leading firms. During the conference, one of these organizations, the Network Administrators Association, provided the training Applied Cyber Security, which was open to all visitors of the exhibition. During the event, surprise gifts were given and attendees were awarded certificates at the end of training. As the only conference gathering all exhibitors from the sector chain, the IT Security Conference appeals to manufacturers, distributers, branches, system integrators, consultants, academicians, students and end users. SMART BUILDINGS CONFERENCE Organized as part of the 4 th ISAF Smart Home exhibition covering all construction electronics and smart home automation systems, the Smart Buildings Conference met the sector for the first time in 2015. With the platinum sponsorship of EEC Systems, the Smart Buildings Conference was held at the Cappadocia Hall of Istanbul Expo Center on September 19 th, 2015. Organized in cooperation with the Association International of Facilities Technical Managers (AIFTM), the Smart Buildings Conference covered the topics of Smart Building and Facility Management and its program included subjects such as energy management, automation systems and applications in smart buildings and energy efficiency incentive. With its main discussion topic, Facility Management, speakers of the conference were managers of shopping malls, hotels, hospitals and all kinds of facilities, who are all distinguished members of AIFTM. During the conference, experts of their respective fields gave speeches, offering the opportunity for smart buildings and construction electronics sector to come together for the first time during an event. 19 th INTERNATIONAL ISAF SECURITY EXHIBITION Bringing together increasingly more exhibitors and visitors every year, ISAF Security Exhibition held on 17 th - 20 th September 2015 has proved to be one of the must-see Exhibitions. The concept of our Exhibition, Total Security Solutions and Comfort which was created following the revision in ISAF in 2012 became influential especially in ISAF Security Exhibition. security sector in previous years, it has become an exhibition where products of companies in all areas of security are exhibited. A major part of ISAF, ISAF Security made a great progress in terms of quality. All significant players of the sector and all of major brands in this field across the world took part in ISAF Security Exhibition directly or via their distributors. 75 foreign and 164 local firms from 16 countries took part in the Exhibition where the products of 239 firms were exhibited in 13,500 square meters-gross area and 7,936 square meters -net area. 4 th ISAF IT SECURITY EXHIBITION With its concept, Total Security Solutions and Comfort, ISAF 19 th International Information and Network held on 17 th -20 th September 2015 exhibited the state-of-art technologies in the world. ISAF IT Security Exhibition in which the latest trends in the world are followed and the state-of-art technologies are exhibited became an important commercial platform where all exhibitors got prepared in order to get ahead of their rivals this year. All products and solutions related to information and network security that meet the need on security which has increased due to the smart products used by almost everyone thanks to the technological developments were exhibited in ISAF IT Security Exhibition. Covering the topics of IT Security which is the most significant part of security today, IT Security Exhibition hosted 76 exhibitors in 1,000 square meters - gross and 579 square meters - net area in its third year. With participation of 20 foreign firms from 12 countries including Turkey, the Exhibition exhibited the products of 91 firms from 13 countries. Organized concurrently with the Information and Network Security Exhibition, IT Security Conference which was held on 17 th -20 th September 2015 again this year became the most comprehensive event held in Turkey in this field. 4 th ISAF SMART HOME EXHIBITION ISAF SMART HOME EXHIBITION PROVIDING COMFORT AND CONVENIENCE Under 19 th International ISAF Exhibition, the 4 th Smart Buildings and Building Automation Exhibition was organized on 17 th -20 th September. Exhibiting all Smart Building and Building Automation Technologies, Systems and Materials that are increasingly used in our life and considered as a necessity not a luxury today, ISAF Smart Home Exhibition found smart, safe and comfortable solutions for buildings thanks to the state-of-art technological systems again this year with 80 exhibitors and 16,748 visitors. Most of the products and technologies which are defined as smart building solutions and structure electronics used in almost all buildings today were exhibited in ISAF Smart Home Exhibition that forms the comfort theme of ISAF which we organized with the concept of Total Security and Comfort. The firms engaged in different products ranging from security and entrance and imaging system to energy-saving products, lighting systems and control systems as well as remote-access systems took part as exhibitors in ISAF Home Exhibition which we started to organize in 2012 taking into account the great development and growth in the market. At the present time in which the smart systems are used in almost whole of our life with the developing technology, ISAF Smart Home Exhibition with the theme of Smart Buildings and Building Automation was welcomed by great interest of visitors. The fact that almost all of the general exhibitors of ISAF Exhibition have products in the field of Smart Buildings and Building Automation played a major role to satisfy general visitors. With increasing interest, ISAF Smart Home Exhibition hosted the stands of 80 firms from 12 countries. The products of 109 firms were exhibited in 1,400 square meters - gross and 826 square meters - net area. PREPARATIONS FOR 2016 ISAF HAVE STARTED Taking part in ISAF Exhibition regularly every year, the firms have grown over time and gained a significant and reliable position. Organized with more success than expected in 2015, 19 th ISAF Exhibition will bring together investors again next year upon conclusion of greater commercial deals. The occupancy rate of Exhibition has already exceeded 50% because the existing exhibitors will take part in the Exhibition again in 2016 and many new exhibitors will be involved. Our preparations for ISAF 2016 which follows the sector closely and improves its innovative and service quality every year are going on at a great pace.
