This is our process and how we achieve excellence in our build quality: Chassis: As the foundation for our caravans, Van Cruiser Caravans has built a trusted relationship with G & S Chassis, Australia s foremost chassis builder, to construct every chassis based on the design of each individual model. Our chassis are specially engineered to suit our unique build process for our frame and composite panels, which gives the structure of the caravan superior strength and stability. Flooring: The floor is one of the most important aspects of your caravan and has a big impact on durability and overall quality. Van Cruiser builds the base with Ezyfloor, which is an innovative one-piece flooring system which increases the durability of the caravan to produce the highest quality product. The specialised design and absence of joins in the one-piece floor means it doesn t squeak, sag, or rot and the floor covering won t lift or tear. Frame: The sturdy frame structure is constructed with Meranti timber which is a lightweight stable timber not inclined to bend, twist or warp and allows for controlled expansion and contraction in Australia s climatic extremes. All four walls are fixed to the inside of the chassis and the 8 inch outriggers are designed to minimise flex throughout the structure of the caravan.
Superior engineering, construction & build quality Electrical: We use 8mm & 6mm double sheath wiring on the main harness which means that our vans don t experience voltage drops from the batteries to the fridge and all the appliances in the van. The harness is secured to the walls so there is no movement when the van is on the go and all the main looms are fused for added safety. We take extra care when it comes to the wiring on each van to ensure that you have years and years of trouble free caravanning with your wiring system. Insulation: The roof is tightly packed with wool insulation and the entire body of the caravan is covered in polystyrene foam. With this insulation throughout the entire caravan and also within the high density insulated core of the aluminium composite panels, we are able to achieve a triple insulation factor which is designed to keep your van cooler in summer and warmer in winter. Panels: Van Cruiser Caravans are the industry leaders when it comes to our outer skin Aluminium flat composite panels. The panels are bonded onto the Meranti frame, giving the structure of the caravan superior strength due to this lamination process. They have a three layer composite structure, the top and bottom layers are covered with Aluminium sheets and the central core is high density polyethylene. The composite panels are easy to maintain and are high in strength with excellent insulation and resistance to acids & alkali. Added to the benefits of this superior product, the flat panels give the vans a distinctive and sophisticated finish, which stand out from the rest. Power: Free camping is not just about making your dollar go further, it s also about the freedom that this lifestyle offers and finding those camping spots that take your breath away. We set you up with battery & solar pack combinations designed to keep your van running independently and efficiently when access to power is not available. We offer many solutions which we tailor to your specific travel needs with options for multiple batteries to run your 12V system through the caravan, paired roof mounted solar panels to keep the juice in your batteries charged. Interiors: Our team of experienced builders and tradesman are so particular about their workmanship that even the grain is matched on the furniture and cupboard doors. Our cabinets and furniture are made from high quality, lightweight solid ply which are screwed and glued into position to ensure high strength with flexibility. We use the highest quality struts, hinges and catches on the doors and metal drawer sides & runners to provide long lasting durability and functionality. We offer our clients a great range of modern interior colour options which complete the van with a stylish and contemporary look to suit your individual style.
