MESSAGE OF THE CONFERENCE CHAIR Dear Partners, Friends and Colleagues, Welcome to the RADECS 2017 conference, that will be held October 2 nd 6 th 2017 at the CICG (Centre International de Conférences de Genève) in Geneva, Switzerland. This is the first time that RADECS is being held in Switzerland and we truly hope that it will be very successful and that you will experience Swiss Quality throughout your stay. During the conference, there will be a 3-day Industrial Exhibit from Tuesday morning onwards, October 3 rd through Thursday, October 5 th afternoon. Offering a unique opportunity, Friday October 6 th technical session will be held at CERN, giving you an additional occasion to visit and know more about the famous CERN laboratory (European Center for Nuclear Research) and an exclusive insight to the powerful accelerators, experiments and technologies. The Industrial Exhibit is an important part of this event and we encourage you to participate, knowing that all conference attendees are also visiting the exhibit. The Exhibit Area will be located on the ground floor of the CICG, directly next to the entrance where the registration and information desks are to be found and on the passage to the auditorium. All conference breaks, lunch on October 3 rd and the Industrial Evening on October 4 will be hosted in the Exhibit Area (for registered attendees only). As a result, the Industrial Exhibition will benefit from a continuous high visibility. The Exhibitor registration fee includes two complimentary registrations to the RADECS-2017 technical sessions and an invitation for two persons to all social evenings. A link to your company s home page is available through the RADECS 2015 website: www.radecs2017.com For more information (RADECS - 2017 Exhibitor Floor Plan, additional services for exhibitors, request for additional services, customs Guide), this practical exhibitor manual will remain at your disposal and updated on the RADECS 2017 website. Please also note, that following the original RADECS spirit promoting the conference for our young colleagues, for the 1 st time in the history of RADECS we propose a new concept of student godfather-ship. This will increase not only the scientific content of the conference, maximize your visibility, but also provide you with the opportunity meeting-up with the youngest and possible future recruits of your company. We look forward to seeing you in Geneva! MARKUS BRUGGER Conference Chair, RADECS 2017 PAGE 3 I contact@radecs2017.com

CITY OF GENEVA Known both as the «smallest of big cities», or the «city of peace», Geneva, among other things, is home to the European headquarters of UNO. Geneva is linked to Europe's capital cities by its international airport, motorways and railway network. It is the seat of a number of major multinationals, as well as the International Red Cross Committee. What is so special about Geneva for the Swiss and the rest of the world? The answer is that it has far greater international influence than any other city of 200'000 inhabitants. Today, Switzerland's second largest city is home to more than fifty international organizations. The permanent missions of over 160 States represent their governments in the city's international conferences and organizations. Geneva is a center focused on the international economy. Whether private corporate or business, finance, in its widest sense, undeniably plays a major economic role in Geneva, which is a base for around a hundred foreign banks. A dynamic, international city like Geneva devotes a large part of its budget to cultural affairs. Supporting creativity in the arts and facilitating public access to culture in all its forms are the principal policy objectives of the Department of Culture and Sport. Whether it is a trip to the heart of the legendary birthplace of fine watchmaking, savouring the delights of dining in top restaurants or soaking up the buzz of the international district, Geneva has everything it takes to ensure you have a magical experience, one that will leave you starstruck.
